I work in a grocery store... I know lame... but I'm 19, I actually get good benefits from there, and the pay isn't that bad considering I've been there over three years now.

Today I was walking down the aisle and got such an obvious IOI from a girl that was GORGEOUS and I froze up and just passed her... part of the reason for this is because I feel really dorky in the uniform.

But anyway, any ideas for how to handle a situation like this if it happens again? Openers? Negs? Anything... I'm so mad at myself.

Actually... now that I think of it... I didn't freeze up... but I held eye contact and smiled. She quickly looked away, but then looked back and held eye contact for a bit. I think she was shy or something.

For me, I think even this was a step, because I'm still new to this, so I'm not that mad... but still... any comments appreciated.

If you feel dorky, just embrace it, have fun feeling ANYWAY life puts you.
I'm doing that right now, at school.
Also, you can try writing down what you think what holds you back from acting and rethink those thoughts till they crack.
