Post subject:  Advice on picking up waitresses and bar girls
Hi,

I don't now if it's a uniform thing, or I just like women who bring me food and drink, but I find myself attracted to waitresses and bar girls a lot. Trouble is that they give off IOI type signals because that's part of their job - to make customers feel good. My mate thought he'd pulled a bar girl at All Bar One (UK bar), but the next day she didn't even recognise him!

The other issue is that you can't take 10 or even 5 minutes of their time easily as they have other customers to serve.

So, fearless colleagues, what advice and experience does anyone have?

I know Mystery has good methods of dealing with people like that such as exotic dancers, barmaids, etc. These types of people are called hired guns. They are hired for their looks and they act interested in you take your money.

I know negging is good, because you need to portray that you aren't interested in them and get them in a mindstate to act how they really are around you instead of just doing their job. I hope I got that right lol

Also if you haven't seen it yet check out The Pickup Artist on VH1. It's a good show, and I believe both seasons have an episode each based solely on picking up hired guns.

What do you mean by picking them up?

if you want to take them home that day or something it will be difficult, but if you want them to pay attention to you and talk to you a little more, and talk to you again the next time you come into the bar it is really easy just say the following magic phrase:

"what do you recommend me to order? is there something you really like?"

And just wait to see the magic.

So the magic line is discussing what you normally would discuss with them based on their occupation? :wink:

That's like saying you want to pick up a cashier so you ask her "can you put these items in a seperate bag from these..." and then you watch the "magic" unfold lol.

I used that line before just randomly (prefer natural to scripted) and when she responded I paused for a minute and then ordered something completely different while smiling. She seemed to like that and gave me special SPAM the whole time I was there. Managed to get a kiss and number. I'd say the key is continual banter though rather than there being a magic line or technique. You just need to banter back and forth non-stop. If she responds in a flirty manner and has positive natural body language then she's probably enjoying herself. Just work it from there.

gotta say i am 0 for 1 with this approach (said she had a boyfriend) but i did have a ridiculously young, hot bartender laughing hysterically and constantly coming over to me to banter for the rest of the night. obviously this one has me acting like the cockiest bastard ever

i said 'hello' with big smile and ordered a beer
she handed me the beer
ME: you got me all wrong, don't judge people
HB(puzzled): huh?
ME: even though you are obviously attracted to me you don't think i am dateable because i look like a square
HB(hint of a smile): ummmmm...
ME: i have nothing but respect and affection for bisexual woman. you're probably thinking i will try to change your lifestyle
HB(mockingly): how'd you know?
ME: i am perceptive, can sense your preconceptions. you think i am the sort of guy that will refuse to fuck your girlfriends. (laughter from HB) I will promise you right now (spoken slowly and solemnly)...as god as my witness, if the only thing preventing us from forming a meaningful connection is fucking your girlfriends then i PROMISE you i will fuck your girlfriends. all of them (she laughs hysterically)

this is a newbie observation but i think the one fun thing about hitting on bartenders and waitresses is that you can use more outrageous-and potentially effective-openers because they are flirted with all day and chances of number closing are much lower
