Post subject:  need help with openers
Hi guys,

I was quite confident last week and I opened more than 10 sets, got 4 numbers and one kiss close with #. Unfortunately, this week nothing worked. I was in a bar packed with hot girls. I could only open 2 sets and both were blown. I thought alcohol would help but it didn't help either. I got very frustrated and really motivated. I felt that I was lacking openers because I was quite confident in myself. I don't know what to do now. i have been watching 21convention lectures and The Pick Up Artist. I thought everything was going well since I could see really good improvement last week. I could open a 2 set (moving target) and got instant date with those 2 girls who later on kept calling. I don't know what happened. Any kind of help, material would be appreciated.

Are you worried about opening or what you are doing after you open? If it is just an opener you need, just walk up to the next hot girl you see and tell her she is cute. Boom she's opened ;)

I think I don't know what my sticking point/problem was. Here I will describe the whole sets and give your opinions on my mistakes.

Opening was kind of problematic in the beginning. I guess it all comes to the approach anxiety. Another problem was continuing after opening up. In the first set, I straightly walked up to 2 brunettes and said "I was just passing by and saw you guys and decided to stop and say you look great tonight." Then I couldn't keep the talk at the same level of excitement.

I could talk to 2 sets first, made them laugh, threw some negs on both but at the end everything faded. The third person (a girl) came to the set and we had a good talk for about 2 minutes and again it faded. It was boring and I felt it.

In the second set, I was standing pretending to listen to the band on the stage and there was a blonde next to me. I asked what the band was, how bad they were performing and how bad was the town tonight. Apparently she was from the very town and she felt sorry for me getting bored. At the very moment, her friend came and cockblocked. I wanted to say "Introduce me to your friend" but by that time she was turned around.

Guys, what were my mistakes. I know I did more than 10 mistakes there and my THE BIGGEST mistake was opening up only 2 sets where I could open more than 10.

You said the problem yourself, you were bored or getting bored and being boring.

Great opener, but what was keeping you from being excited the entire time? You were talking to girls. It is fun!

Next time when you run out of things to say say this. "Hey quick question if you could be anything what would you be?" Listen to her answer then respond to her. Or make up any type of question. If you just keep asking her random questions eventually you will find something to talk about ;)

Flirt right away! It is completely natural for a guy to flirt with a girl. People don't go out to have boring convo's with a stranger who just walks up to them. They go to interact and make love.

Should get you past opening stages.
