For me, the best opener leaves a girl unable to reply with "sorry, but I have a boyfriend". This is one I use if I want to meet anyone sitting down: See table with HBs at. As soon as you see an empty seat at the table, go and sit at the table. "Hey guys, does the 3 second rule apply here?" For those who don't know, the 3 second rule is: if a seat is vacated for more than 3 seconds it's fair game for anyone. Don't get it confused with the 7 second rule: if food has been dropped on the floor for more than 7 seconds, anyone can eat it. Further topics of conversation: - what's the 3 second rule? - do I mean the 7 second rule? - what about the X second rule? (Have some fun here, make up a rule: "Yeah, sure the 23 second rule. If you stare deep into my eyes for 23 seconds, it means I get to bend you over the nearest sheep and have sex with you, but only if I've got a rubix cube to solve at the same time.) |

I thought it was always 3 second rule when food is dropped, and I guess that you mean 7 seconds rule for an open seat |

I've always used 3 seconds for seats. Let's be honest, if the girl disagrees that's not a bad thing! |

im pretty new, and i like the opening part, but the '"Yeah, sure the 23 second rule. If you stare deep into my eyes for 23 seconds, it means I get to bend you over the nearest sheep and have sex with you, but only if I've got a rubix cube to solve at the same time.' part, is this supposed to be funny/random? i cant imagine what her response would be to that, it seems like alot to process |

In regards to the 23 second rule I think it depends on sizing up the target, if she has her bitch shield up then that is a sure fire way to get shot down but it also depends on how much you fluff before you build up to it. However it is only meant to be funny and said in a funny way, it is a bold move but all the best ones are |

I was under the impression that the 3 second rule was anywhere, anytime you see a woman you like, you approach fast otherwise she will perceive you as weak, and write you off, especially if you hesitate and then approach. |
