we are going clothes and shoe shopping and we need good openers. any help would be appreciated. |

"Hi, how are you?"any help would be appreciated. Delivered with a smile. Doesn't get any simpler than that. If shopping, ask for some help from your target in choosing the item you're looking for. No secret formula here bro. You need to be able to read her, and escalate (n-close, time bridge, etc..). If she balks, simply move on to the next one. |

some of my faves: jewelry store: hey where's you guys bling? Walking around in store: hey, you have a good sense of style, I want you to help me pick out some clothes for me. Anywhere preferably single set: hey(make sure you have her full attention on this one be totally comitted) you are really cute, and I want to get to know you. (she will normally get doggy dinner bowl look, all it means is that she was amazed by your boldness. Do NOT break the tension instead just escalate immedietly. Escalate meaning venue change/leading her somehow/asking an open ended question.) Clothing store: Where do I find your emo pants? (attempt to get the whole store involved always get the whole store involved in the mall) Ways of getting the store involved are: 1. Act really indifferent to whatever the sales associate tells you, and eventually make it not about the thing you are buying by being fun and relating to them on an emotional level. "wow, you really put effort into what you do here. I really appreciate that. You must be a successful person (they will normally qualify blah blah balh I am succesful here's why just relate reward like a normal pickup) 2. Ask them about what there is to do in the area 3. Use experiences in the previous stores to dhv yourself. "I talked to a girl over there and she said that emo pants would look great on me and really make my ass look even better. I was amazed by this claim, so you get to be my lucky ass sculptor :p." |

here is something i posted a couple days ago... 1. either grab two different color shirts, or go to a shelf or something were their is a variety of colored shirts and ask the girl if you could get her opinion, you can throw in something like "you look like you know fashion" if you want, then ask her what color she thinks would look best on you 2. if their is a girl working at the store that you want to open and she walks past you while your facing the other direction, look over your shoulder and say "aren't you going to ask me for help or something?" then just take it from there |

yeh some really great advice here.. just another general word of advice id like to contribute is - DONT get too carried away with the customer-act (unless you are actually shopping - it sounds like you are but if you're sarging malls in the future then i suggest you try to avoid this). iv had HBs getting really into helping me out and not treating me as a friendly stranger but instead as a customer and if i stayed on the topic of store items for too long i found it harder and harder to cut the thread and steer it away towards one of my routines (such as the ESP-routine, The Cube etc). unless your really good at multiple-threading then i say try not to fall into this trap otherwise it'll be harder to pull off your best practiced routines in the conversation and this may be important if your finding it difficult to DHV enough. lol thats my two cents, peace. |
