I used this at the weekend on a 2-set and it ended up with me in bed with one of them, so definitely field tested! Was with a couple of AFC friends in a bar and the 2 set were next to me. I turned half round to the girls and said 'what do you guys think', not blurting out the opener, to make it look like I was happening to ask them their opinion casually. 'We were just talking about our mutual friend. Hes been dating this girl for a couple of weeks now and he thinks shes great - really attractive, funny, loads in common etc.' Only problem is she's REALLY full on. Bombarding him with texts, telling him how great he is all the time, and he cant help but think its a bit full on so is thinking about ending it now. What do you think.' I realised as I was saying it that it was an ideal way to stack and qualify them at the same time - going into how I like women who are not so needy and are they like that etc? They were scrabbling to qualify themselves saying stuff like 'Im not like that etc.' Its a good way of going through qualities YOU require in a woman and that qualifies them to you and makes it look like youve got high standards. I went into the best friends routine after this and the rest is history, but Im definitely gonna use it again as an opener. |

Ive thought about how Ill extend it if I use it again - it applies some of Swinggcat's theories on sucking the HBs into an emotional drama and your reality after the opinion opener: When theyve replied with 'he should dump her' or 'he should give her more time' play devil's advocate. If she says the former, say 'but shes got all these great qualities which, lets be honest, are hard to all find together in a woman (lets them know on subtle level you have array of standards they have to meet). Isnt it a bit superficial to dump someone because of a couple of texts? Wait a minute.. You're not superficial are you?' You could then go into a routine about how you 'dont choose a woman on a superficial level, and its not only about looks, but personality and perspective. 2 out of 3s not bad I suppose.' Then itll kick on from there. If she says 'he should give her more time', say 'but dont you think her not giving him any emotional space like that is a bit stalkerish? Wait a minute....youre not one of these girls who need a restraining order are you? But dont worry, if I spot you in the bush outside my window, you can come to the window and Ill pass you out a cookie/drink.' Thats how Ill play it next time! |
