So I decided to try out some of the openers people have been using on here. I have messaged like 20 women spread over OKC and POF (I know its not much but the selection in my area is not all that interesting). I decided to send the obscure openers that Molson came up with in 1-vt90454.html?postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Out of 20 1 HB7-8 replied. here is the conversation: ME: I think I've died and gone to heaven.. Cause a car hit me, and I lost a lot of blood, and the medics couldn't save me so like my spirit left my body, but then God said it wasn't my time so he sent me back as a golden retriever, and I was like wtf? I am not a golden retriever. But I lived my life anyways for 13 years cause that's about how long dogs live, and then I died again (just of old age) and was reincarnated as my current self. Sup? HER: WTF? This is a first. haha ME: I've read your profile and notice something that I can't say about many girls on this website, you actually have a personality. Strike that, you actually have a pulse. (got this one from another thread on here) HER: Haha well thank you, not much is written there. ME: Tell me something about yourself. You could be a leprechaun here to steal my Lucky Charms or a vicious trained bear that ran away from a circus, on here to lure unsuspecting Chumps. HER: You are very creative, I'm . How are you? ME: Hello , I am . So you aren't one of those bratty girls are you? HER: I'm not sure? What does that mean? lol I am not sure how to respond. Should I quote her the definition of "brat" from dictionary? I wanted to comment on her profile but she has only written like 7 sentences and 5 of them are "PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO TALK TO ME IF YOU JUST WANT TO GET LAID |

[UPDATE] so i have been trying to get this girl to qualify to me but i am having trouble neg'ing her. here is the rest of the conversation ME: You know a spoiled brat, someone who always has to get their way? are you one of those? HER: Nah I'm independent, if I want something I buy it myself. ME: Oh you are one of those are you? (i was trying to think of a neg but i cant think of anything. anyone have a good one for this?) Do you like adventures? Me and my friend Zach love experiencing nature from the front seat. Once a month we go out hiking or kayaking. Last winter we went kayaking in the Chassahowitzka River near Homosassa springs on the west coast of Central Florida. When we got there it was 30 degrees outside and it started raining, but I was like "**** it we came for some adventure, we are going to get some god damn adventure." So we ended up kayaking 2 miles out and back soaking wet in rain and 30 degrees but it was one of the best kayaking experience ever. Have you ever had any crazy adventures like that? HER: One of those? Oh wow, no I have never been kayaking, but it sounds like quite the rush the way you describe it lol Any advice from online dating experts? |

Eh well man i wouldn't advise meeting women over Facebook without first knowing them, it comes across weird and creepy, trust me when I say even if y'all do meet up it might be awkward, I used to so this but it never really went anywhere, I'd say the best possible thing to do is try and get a meetup, then get to know her in person, ussualy wemon can see right through pickup lines as well, if you can meet up in person and banter (flirt) you should be fine |

If a first meeting with an unknown girl isn't in any way weird, creepy, or awkward, something somewhere is wrong. Unless it's your intention to take the fast lane into the friend zone.

Well not exacty, usually when things get weird it's bad, I'd much rather have things go smooth and her remember the good emotions of playfullness then the bad emotions of awkwardness, and I don't think you quite understood what I said, it's not going into the fast lane it's more of if they meet up quicker then he can have a one on one interaction, would you rather have an lol on facebook or her laughing and having a good time with you in person? |

Well, that paragraph you sent about kayaking? Completely unnecessary. You could've just said "I'm into kayaking, what's your rush?" Also, look at how short her replies are compared to yours. In a conversation, and I don't mean only online, you need to dominate. Which means, you should be the one speaking lesser than what is expected. Make her curious. Not load her with information she hasn't asked for yet. Limit your exposure. Do you get what I am telling you? |

Not load her with information she hasn't asked for yet. Limit your exposure. Do you get what I am telling you? No this isnt correct. A paragraph like that is fine a few messages in. Building attraction is important, and this will help him set the frame as an adventurous, fun guy who's looking for a fun girl. It gives her a picture of his life and the kinda things he's into. Also it almost immediately makes him much more interesting than pretty much every other guy. I mean, think about it. What's more interesting? "I like kayaking" or an intense paragraph that captures the fun and adventure that comes from kayaking? Besides, a lot of times for the first few messages you're usually the one typing more until she starts to get more invested into the conversation. Where he actually went wrong was with the odd "negging" stuff? Asking her if she's a spoiled brat is obnoxious and then calling her "one of THOSE types" after she says she's not a spoiled brat is even worse. He's on the right track, though, he just needs to be a little more fun and playful and less obnoxious. But, that's how you learn this stuff. You overdo it and rub girls the wrong way to the point that eventually you start to realize where the line between douchebag and playful teasing guy is and you stay on the correct side of it. |

@ Don I was trying to build rapport with a DHV story. I read this on here that DHV stories are good. @ItsAlwaysOn The brat line was actually pretty well known in online dating apparently which was basically intended to get her into a playful mode for some flirtatious banter but it back fired and i didnt know what to say lol. thanks for your input guys its helping a ton. |
