My first failure with Titanic opener. This is the only negative response I have so far, the other 23 responses are all positive.

Girls on my year book get way to many creepy people talking to them so I find alot of them immediately think you are being a creeper with lines like these.. I usually try to initiate the conversation with something about there profile (anything other than "hey") then once they realize im not just another creepy guy then I will start joking with them with lines like this... If you go through and read the questions these girls get EVERY day you will understand why some of them act like this... but I have met some pretty cool chicks on that site |

It works on most the girls on there. The opener itself isn't creepy, it's more of a joke. This girl just cant take it because she has some insecure about herself, so she immediately assumed that I was looking down on her. And I'm well aware of what kind of questions they get, however, most of the girls on MYB are teenagers who seeks for validation. I'm not a big fan of commenting on their profile since it gives them the attention they want, nor I'm willing to sit and read every profile, I send this opener to more than 50 girls in a row in less than 10 min, it's more productive in the same time sort out the type of girl I want to talk to: one with some sense of humor and doesn't take herself too serious. |

What you are doing here is making her look like a bitch for not liking your opener, so it's not your fault it didn't work. Your opener really is not too good and it is in fact a little creepy. Don't blame your failure on the girl, especially since you admit that you just copypaste it. |

I wanted to share the success rate for testing the Titanic opener and simple pointed out that it doesn't work on insecure girls since they more likely to take "cleaning tables" as an insult. But I'm appreciated for all the input. And Beetle, what kind of opener do you usually use if you don't mind ? |

I don't think it's as much as a self-esteem issue as just not being receptive to the joke, or just not getting it. Try something more universally funny than a movie reference. I start off with "Hey, you look fun/sweet. Of course, I could be completely wrong, and those looks/that smile is hiding a ferocious chihuaha, who knows... ;P" Obviously, I use just one variation that fits. This line is the least flexible part of my first message, and yet I variate it sometimes. Then I comment something on the profile that gets a reply, or ask some questions her profile didn't answer, combined with some C&F. It all depends on the profile, I never send the same thing twice, but the chihuaha thing fits nearly everywhere. My profile is written in a similar tone. After that it's straight game. I usually get an IM address by the second or third message. |

It's spelled "chihuahua". Yeah, I just changed your life.

Ive been getting good responses on that site and a couple others with "Hey, I am luring girls into my house with candy.. which do you prefer M&M's or Skittles? Just dont make the mistake of asking it as a question on they re profile or every wanna be knight in shining Armour guy will come calling you a creepy pedophile or something (which makes me laugh because I don't talk to any girl whos under 18 ) probably thinking they will impress her with they're E-muscles |

Nah, not really. In Hungarian, it's written phonetically, as csivava. But thanks anyway |

Yea I used the M&M one before too, didn't get a lot of response with that one. I also tweaked and used the alien one, got great responses, they always play along with that one. |
