| Post subject: | HB0 impersonated HB9. Found the real HB9, and I want her |
Hey guys, Long story short - I've been talking to this girl for a bit online and on the phone, only to realize last week that her pictures were fakes and she's obese. I managed to find the facebook/myspace of the girl she's been impersonating, and I want her. In general, I have a silver tongue and I'm a great flirt/closer - whether it's through text, phone, or body language in person. However, this situation is extremely foreign to me as I've never tried facebook pickup. My idea has a certain risk factor involved. Granted, part of the reason I want to message her is for her own safety... Who knows how long fatty's been doing this for and if some weird e-dude manages to track down the real one and things get ugly. The primary reason is damnit, I've wanted the image of this girl for a bit. Here's my game plan: 1. Facebook message her and let her know someone's been impersonating her, maybe include pics that fatty linked me of her. Tell her I have no idea why she'd choose someone that looked like her, but to message me if she wants more details as to what's been going on. (rough outline, i plan to be more tasteful and lighthearted about it). 2. If she messages me back (which im strongly assuming she will), let her know that it's been going on for a while and i'd fill her in on everything over chat, SPAM, phone, whatever. In general, I'm very confident in my e game if I can just get her to bite the hook (I've been picking up girls online through dating sites/games/forums for years now). She is just another fish, yes, but I want to prove myself able to get the real chick that I thought I was talking to all along. Any comments/suggestions appreciated. - Sektor |

More or less thinking to myself, but here's the facebook message I thought I'd use ( I took a look at a few threads here for some ideas): Title: Hey punk. Apparently someone was impersonating you Content: Not sure why - you seem like a huge dork to me. Anyway, so some 30 year old obese woman is passing off your pictures as her own and using them to seduce lonely computer nerds. It's been going on for months now. My friend got caught up in her game so i stepped in. Here are some pics she used: link link link Yeah, like I said - huge dork. Anyway, thought I'd let you know in case some lonely nerd in suspenders bumps into you thinking you're his e-lover. If you want to know more about this stuff I have texts, emails, etc I can forward you to help you figure out who pillsbury dough girl is - Sektor (link and name obviously will be changed). What do you guys think? I tried to limit the creep factor, as I can easily send off the wrong vibes if my wording is off |

Hmm. I'm wondering if I'm using too many negs and insults in this first message - I dont want to sound tasteless. Here's a bit of a revision Title: Hey, punk! I hope to send this tomorrow, but I would love for some input first |

I think that would make you seem like the creep if you start off with someone is impersonating her. How about adding her, saying you thought she was cool and wanted to see what she was about? And the following message, if she answers, would be: "actually its a funny story, this girl has been impersonating you.. etc" |

Would that work though? If I message/add her saying she seems cool/etc, then drop the bomb that someone's been impersonating her, I'd seem like I already knew all about her and searched her out - making it much creepier and harder to recover from. I feel this approach is better suited - I'll give the appearance that I'm genuinely trying to help her out and pursuing justice against the impersonator. Granted, she may be a little creeped at first, but I feel I can turn that dial in the right direction and have no need to backtrack (like I would if I told her after). With your approach I really wouldn't need to mention the impersonation thing at all... But my purpose is to use it to my advantage. Am I being delusional in thinking so? PS. I don't really have one-itis with this girl, but I don't want to be sloppy either |

Those aren't negs they are insults. A far better neg would be. There is a girl impersonating you.. ect ... I suppose she thinks your good looking. More subtle. I'm out of my comfort zone here as I don't know how you guys get girls on facebook/internet. I've done it but real life is my forte. Maybe my profile sucks. haha |

Why go into the whole rant about someone impersonating her? Are you a detective or something? She could just reply with a ,''Uh,thanks for the info.'' and you're done. Just mention this in one line and use a normal opener. |
