I like to go on facebook and poke them without adding them. If they poke me back or if I cant poke them I message them without adding them a smiley like this How many messages until I give them my number? What should I change around? Thinking about pick something funny out when possible and making fun of it. |

Dude avoid the poking and smileys, I'm told they rarely come over as anything other than just a bit creepy... |

Messages are good. Pokes are creepy. I like your suggested friends idea, combine that in a message with something that makes her qualify herself. I'd use something like: "Hey, I saw you were on my suggested friends list, but I'm pretty selective about who I add and wanted to make sure you were more than just a pretty face. What about you would make me want to add you?" Feel free to copy/paste or modify to your pleasure. |

There's a couple classic responses that I think diggidoyo came up with (but I'm not 100% on that so if it was someone else, my bad) that would fit well here. I'd go with either "Wrong answer. You're no fun. OR "You've been online this long and you still don't know me? Sounds like SOMEBODY'S got some catching up to do. I would always include some kind of smiley for those sorts of things because tone of voice is so hard to project over a written medium, and both of those could sound kind of dickish if it's taken the wrong way. |
