What is a good way to respond to a girl's profile? I am having trouble getting a response back. Usually, I open up by commenting on her likes and interests. Try to make a point on the common interests we have, and then I give an intro to who I am. And then I sign off, telling her I hope to hear from her soon. And I don't hear from her. What can I do to elicit a response? Thanks for your help.

Alright so I got this from an expert and I got some results with it, so here it is..

I'm not that good at writing emails to strangers but bear with me. I read your profile and there was something that caught my eye. Maybe it was how you seem pretty outgoing... or how you do sports...I have a feeling that there's more to you than your looks but lets see if you're as nice, interesting and attractive as you are in the pictures.

I'm willing to bet you that you've gotten about 650 emails so far from guys saying something like:hi, my name is brad and i like long walks on the beach, cuddling and having fun.

If that's what you're used to then this email is refreshing.

I'm not one to talk about myself too much but I'm 18, Love life, have my act together and I'm really funny. So if you don't like to laugh then we're in trouble.

Worst case? you make a cool friend, so lets chat sometime...

This is much better than what you have already been doing but its more for the older women in my opinion 27+ (Women who probably want to settle down.). Its not going to work as well on 18 - early 20's. Think about who your target is and tailor the message so its more likely to appeal to her.

I tried that approach, I think I saw it on the internet somewhere. You could do worse but no great shakes. If you read it 3 times you will see that it is pretty boring.

I am still crafting this whole interwebs stuff, but here are some rules I picked up for first message....

1. Don't be sexual
2. Don't comment on her appearance in any way
3. Don't be rude, teasing, or give "negs"
4. Always write more than one sentence, but not more than 3 or 4

that is only for the opening email. After that it is free form.

I think if you resort to mass mailing a whole pamphlet of stuff that is in your profile anyway its a big waste of time.

I tried making very customized stuff for each one, but it got no more response than a simple 3 sentences

BrianFL, no need to tell me that you need to be PC when you make the initial response. I have had some success with the script. But I would modify it to each profile response. I make it a point to mention stuff in their profile, like the bands or books they like. In one case, the girl happened to be studying what I have a degree in, so I made that a point of interest. The script is fine, so long as you tailor it to each profile.

I used to be on OKC and the only physical appearances that I commented on were what she made very obvious or that were particularly striking. If she's showing off a particular accessory or piece of jewelry, you could ask about that. Or you could mention something about her eyes reflecting her personality.

If you're really good/lucky, you might notice something in the background of a pic that is subtle and give a story about it, preferably DHV. It worked for me once or twice i think.

Also, short is best. I wrote too long at first and didnt get many responses until I cut it down.

You know what, this may seem ridiculous but when I used to do online dating. I had this opener i found somewhere on the internet that would give me a 90% success rate. Seriously, almost every girl would respond. They would tell me that it was the funniest and most original message they ever got.

It's something like this:

I know I'm moving kinda fast....but I've noticed we're both blonds, both sexy, and we
both love going to blablabla (something you find interesting in her profile). I gotta say, we're definitely soul mates. Will you marry me ?

A lot of girls responded with a "Yes!", or "OMG, you crack me up, let's get married"
then you say something like this

Ok. but before we go to Vegas, get married and argue over our third's kid name, we should get to know each other a little better. I'm GringoZ.

that's just a cocky and funny way to open. Natedizzle's opener is pretty good, just a bit more serious. It all depends on the kind of girls. I think a girl that's 18-23 would respond better to the marriage opening, while an older woman 23-30 would respond better to natedizzle's approach. I actually closed a couple girls with the marriage opener.
