Post subject:  e-mail exchange getting boring - how to make it fun

I have been exchanging e-mails with a girl I met at work who has since returned to her own town. I try to ask her questions in my e-mails to get her talking and develop the conversation, but she never really responds to my questions. The conversation has gone fairly boring and has even turned to the weather in her town

She has asked me to tell her what I have been up to. I can answer her with the stuff I have actually been doing (arty design stuff that might interest her) but that will probably not go anywhere and I can see her not responding to my answer.

So my question is how do I introduce fun into the conversation?

I prefer not to make stories up, but if that is what is commonly done online then I am open to it.

I had thought of teasing her and telling her she is little, like Mystery does, but in this case she is short and I was thinking she might not like it.

Role playing and what Mehow calls, past and future projections. Great for adding a sense of fun and avoids having to talk about mundane day to day shit.

Plus it forces her to imagine the pair of you in various scenarios.

Thanks Luthor. I just used that and it really livened up the e-mail. The only limit when using future projection seems to be your imagination. I am not sure how past projection works though.
