So 'round 5am today I came home late from a 24/7 cafe and logged onto OKCupid where I began to chat up a girl who I felt I hit it off with very well. For starters, she had just gotten home from the same cafe as I did. Neither one of us recalled seeing each other there, but neither of us were people watching either. Anyways, we talked for a couple hours and had a great deal in common. Knew many of the same people, liked the same places in town, had many of the same kinks...We seemed to speak the same language as it were. She had mentioned early on she wanted me to show her around town and at the closing of the conversation she gave me her number and told me text her around 2:30pm in case she was awake at the time. So I sent her a message at 2:45pm. She didn't get back to me until 5:00pm or so saying...
Her: I just woke up. I rock.
Me: Lol. Sleeping in 'til 5:00pm. Like a BOSS. I've been watching Miyazaki movies with my roommate.
Her: Hah, nice.
Me: Agreed. So what's up? Are you still interested in hanging out tonight?
Her: Hm. Maybe. I think I'm getting dinner with friends.
Me: Alright. Well I know of a nice hookah place local to both of us if you're feeling up to it. I really enjoyed talking to you earlier so let me know
.Her: 'K.
On one had, this feels like a crash and burn. She went from earlier suggesting she'd invite me over to her place of it wasn't such a mess and wanting me to drive her around town to saying she was too busy to hang out and not suggesting an alternative time or day to do it.
On the other hand, she mentioned wanting to hang out with friends before mentioning us hanging out so it may very well have been a prior commitment.
In any case, I'm at a loss as to whether or not I played this correctly. I feel like we clicked and then I somehow fucked up my end game...I don't know. I'm at a loss as to what my next move should be. Any ideas?
