Post subject:  first in person, then e-mail

Hi,

the other day i saw a girl reading in the subway, i love to read so i asked her what was she reading and blahblah, some kino, some negs, showing that i'm an interesting person, making real conversation and finding a connection, nothing caned, just being myself but "improved", the reception was ok, at the beginning she refused to talk (many people find weird to talk to strangers, i find it funny) but after the right comment, she started talking and smiling and giving kino back.
So, when she was leaving i asked for some books that she would recommend me, and give her my notepad, she wrote some books, then i told her "why don't give give me your e-mail and we can talk later?", she did.

So, I e-mailed her, and here is where i screw it up:
"Hi,

i'm kria, how are you?, i hope ok (and that you remember me), i read the books [note: i did] [talk about the books] why don't we meet to talk about [book that she was reading and i read]?, at lunchtime i think i have some time [note: we study near, lunchtime is a short period of time: 45 minutes, or less],

Saludos"

the point is that she never reply back (it was like 2 months ago), so i guess i screw up somewhere, and i'm not sure where (1rst question: where and how?, the above e-mail is the mail i send), and i'm stuck on what to do on a similar situation the next time i get a good first connection and then an e-mail (i asked the e-mail because phone number was to needy in that situation, it was too casual), how to get a 2nd meeting using the e-mail (2nd question: the stated one).

Of course, i always try to have a reason to meet (talk about books, a sport we both like [to watch or practice], a play, to practice english or another language, whatever), but i'm not sure I can get an answer from an e-mail, by phone is easy (a yes or no, but an answer at least), but by e-mail?, no way.

Saludos!

pd: :this is the first time i tried e-mail, so i don't know if it was the e-mail, or the girl, but i want to be sure before doing it again

Hi there. That e-mail really fucked it up man...
"how are you? hope ok (and you remember me)" this could be the definition of dependancy.
"why don't we meet to ..." nope. the correct way is "let's meet..."
"at lunch time I think I have some time" that was actually good.
And I wouldn't try a reason like talking about a book to meet but I don't know the girl... could work in some cases. Instead I'd just say:
"let's meet at (insert place you're both near to) at (insert time you're available) or (insert another time you're available)."
Oh 1 last thing.
"I read the books, (talk about the books)." I wouldn't do this either... especially if your reason for meeting is to talk about the books :D.
So in conclusion I give you an example on how I would have done it. Not saying this would work for sure because I don't know the girl neither that how you were interacting with her, but I hope it would help you:

"Hi,
It's kria, wazzup? I've read [book] and I found it very interesting, just few things that haven't really caught me. (optional" :P "here) Tell you what. Let's meet at [place]. The next 3 days I'll be free at lunch time.
See ya."

PS.: it also could have been the girl, or your "realtime" game. Girls many times just give e-mail addresses to get rid of the guy. Then they simply don't reply. Next time I strongly suggest you to number close. That's a more solid way to go. Hope I helped, happy sarging! :)

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

about the books and the girl: the girl study latinoamerican literature, so i though that books would be a good starting point, besides, i guess, if the girl talks with a lot of passion about books, it's a good starting point, that's why i used it (but yeah, if i want to fuck, why tell her i want to talk about books?)

about the rest, i read the mail again, and i guess you are right (in fact, the more i read it, the worst i find it), i'll try it next time, and i keep thinking that the mail was a good idea, but i'll try phone number next time, is riskier in the moment, but better results after.

Saludos!

See, if you had a good conversation, you demonstrated value and showed yourself as a mentally and socially healthy person then there's no way she won't give you her number. Have a nice day! :)
