OK well I'm not asking should I or should I not do this as I have already sent the message. I'm going to explain the situation and see what you guys think / areas to improve and I'll let you know the outcome / results as they happen. So basically I was in the supermarket the other evening (23rd Dec) and I was staring/scanning at a shelf of sauce jars trying to find cranberry (it wasn't there, that's why I couldnt see it haha). Noticed some people in my pheriphal vision and looked up incase I needed to move out of the way. It was a girl I've seen about and she said hey, I said hey and she carried on down where ever she was walking to and I didn't see her again (she was with her mum). I used to see this girl out and talk to her when I was going out with an ex(about 2-3 years ago) so I'm assuming she remembers me from then. I never see her out in the clubs I go to now and only ever see her occasionally when downtown. I never say hello first as I always assume she doesn't remember / know me but she always says hi. I am also assuming there is some sort of interest on her part as she seems very friendly and other people I know from that point in my life I see around don't bother talking to me. So I decided to send her a fb message and see what happens from there. If she shoots me down or doesn't reply it wont matter because I rarely see her anyway. If her reaction is positive then I'll have a good field report of how our first meeting goes So I found her on fb and sent this: subject: hey message: I could be wrong but did I see you in M&S the other day? Happy Christmas btw |

let me know what happens.... i've been in a similar situation... in that I know girls through other friends, and see them only when I'm out - and when i do see them, it's always a brief convo. I'm never sure whether it would be creepy to FB them :S also... you buy your food from M&S?! very posh! :p |

^haha, na I dont get food there.. needed cranberry sauce and it was the closest place. we've hit a bump in the road.. need some help on a response.. messages so far: me: I could be wrong but did I see you in M&S the other day? Happy Christmas btw her: loll yes! me: I thought so, I really can't remember how I know your name though?? From gigs maybe.. You seem pretty cute, but are you fun and interesting as well? We should do something fun together. I have to warn you though I'm kinda picky lol her: oh, lol eeehhm, i have a boyfriend :L for a year and a half now.. sorry :L what to write back? I was thinking something along the lines of: oh thats ok, ive already married and divorced you in my head already, we've got some good imaginary memories. "You'll always have a special place in my heart" (maybe not add this line). You can keep the house, but I'm gona need half our money according to our prenup or: oh thats ok, (subtle bf destroyer, "boyfriend? i said something fun, not tell me your problems") but a bf destroyer could make me look like a dick, this is probably the route i would have chosen on the spot, in real life. or any other suggestions would be good.. i dont want to blow her off as if she ever broke up / decided to cheat, id be right there! |
