Hey guys, I have to say that Kata124's divorce opener is absolutely, hands down, the best I've ever used. I always get a response. Typically I like to actually use it as a second or third message, but that's just my style. As an opener, I like to change it up a little bit (as Kata124 suggests): Hey *name...if you don't know it...make something up or leave it out* (I'm just taking a wild guess there), Your profile was great: *list reasons* ! But *list why you guys don't work...something small - a false disqualifier - don't say it won't work because you have AIDS...* .So...I think that it's probably not going to work with us, we're going to have to get a divorce. You can have the house, but I get the pets. Maybe we can arrange for you to have visiting rights on weekends & holidays. -*Your name* I've noticed that girls are very possessive about animals...and they will almost always jump on the fact that they should get the pets, and why... EX. "No Way! I should get the pets! You're just going to let them run around outside and get pregnant!" Also...a bit of a variation on this...is if a girl shows any interest in your (favorites you on POF, winks at you on OKCupid, puts a smiley face in a message)...I like to say. "A winky face, wow, we're getting pretty serious. I guess I should probably give you my letter jacket to wear or something." Shows the girl they are hitting on YOU...and also is kind of fun and playful. Best of luck. |
