PUA Forum :: No response to first message. Next step?

You send a girl a message, get no response. I usually follow up with a half-assed "Why so shy; talk to me." This gets responded to about 10% of the time. Anybody have anything better, anything more aggressive maybe? My brain stops working after the initial no response apparently.

To clarify, this is online game. I mean you send a girl a message to her profile, not text message because I haven't got a phone number at this point. I hadn't thought about just being pushy enough to activate a bitch shield. Guess I'll give it a shot.

I have text game handled, if a girl doesn't respond to your texts, wait a day or two and then text "So, are we not talking anymore?" This has always got a response, though it might be AFC.

Yeah. "So are we not talking anymore?" definitely sounds needy if you read it that way. Girls know I'm not needy or clingy, so I get away with it; it mostly has a curious tone. But yeah, it works until I stumble across something smoother that fits with me.

Not sure what you're asking, but some girls suck at texting back. This always gets the response, "No we're still talking! Things have just been crazy, what's up?" I've used it on 3 different girls when they fall off right in the middle of a conversation to make plans/see when they're free. I wouldn't say it's totally AFC because it's not like I'm saying, "Hey, not sure why you're not responding to me. Did I do something to upset you? I really didn't mean to. Write me back." But maybe it's not such a big difference. Anyway, I'll take your disapproval of it into consideration.

Thanks, but I didn't ask if I should keep doing what I'm doing. You don't have to respond to things if you don't have an idea, suggestion, or experience; you're just filling up space.

I always drop it unless I see them check out the profile 2-3 times. Then I'll say something to them along the same lines of what you've said. I really have only done this like once or twice though, but it's worked both times and actually led to dates.

Challenge her, be like didnt your mum ever teach you it is rude to ignore people... you then get hardcore attack bitch shield, (especially when it is an alpha women!) defeat it then walla she knows you can handle her did this with a model a few days ago worked like a charm

Well I was reading the attraction code, and something that was in it was how to reply if she doesn't reply. I think if I remember correctly all you text is: OMG! YOU DIDN'T. And wait till she replies. She'll most likely ask What?? And just say she didn't reply or something and restart the convo from there.

I don't think there's a massive difference, I've been mixing and matching from text games and online, and it seems to be okay. But I think asking if we're not talking anymore seeemss to be a little AFC. But if it works for you, far be it for me to tell another man how to fish!

Very AFC. shows you noticed for a start. depending what she didn't reply to, depends on what i reply. for instance, if i just want to re-connect/GET a reply (more text game). a simple "was it tuesday or thursday we were supposed to catch up"... even if i hadn't made plans with her previously. that usually gets a straight answer, a "i'm busy both days", or at least a "what are you talking about". play from there. Or something random like "OH god, xxx just happened and i wanted your input/advice (some cool event from your day)" if she has ignored a question that you asked. a nice repremand like "didn't your mother teach you manners" as for profile message game, it's all numbers, so either re-open her, next her, or neg her "good thing we never caught up, i can't stand girls that can't keep up their end of the conversation"...

But yeah, it works until I stumble across something smoother that fits with me. You know, re-opening the girl is something I've never tried... It sounds like it would work if you just pretend it's the first message. The problem is it takes time and there are girls out there that won't let you slip through the cracks or keep you in a holding pattern. I like your neg, I think I'll soften it up a little bit and go with that.

But yeah, it works until I stumble across something smoother that fits with me. not being condescending here (i know how hard tone is to convey in written form), but i would have thought if they knew you well enough to know you weren't needy, you wouldn't have to ask the "so are we not talking anymore" question, as they would be closer than the text game portion of things.

I was just asking how a chick would "know" your not needy (as per your post i quoted). i mean i've flipped the "needy" switch once inadvertantly in a chick even though her and i had been fucking for over 3 years. chicks tend to still vibe that stuff no matter how well their concious mind "knows" you. And i'd take a chick "falling off the planet" in the midst of organising a catch up as a sign of her possibly avoiding the meet up. but i never take anything a chick says at face value.
