This is my "about me" section on my myspace check it out and tell me what you think. Do you think women will respond to this? Are you a person that likes to dance to your favorite song? Do you prefer to "rock out" in your car and sing out of tune to "We Will Rock You" by Queen? Do you prefer a night in, with dinner and a movie instead of heading on out to expensive clubs every night? Do you enjoy a change of pace? Do you like the outdoors? And above all can you keep up? I enjoy many things in my life. I have a passion for music, a feeling for adventure, and a drive for life. I'm spontaneous and humorous when the time is right. A perfect day for me is sitting on the back of my porch with a cold beer and my guitar, strumming and singing about whatever is on my mind. Music is my escape. I like to stay active; I enjoy anything on the water. Surfing is my other escape, the feeling of catching a wave, after paddling for what seems hours is exhilarating. I feel like I’ve accomplished something extraordinary. For those that know me well, I'm a care free individual. I do not welcome drama into my life. I'm funny when the company is good. I love meeting new people. I'm willing to talk with just about anyone. At parties or get togethers, I'm up and about socializing with anyone and everyone. I choose my friends wisely. I believe in bettering myself in every way possible. I enrich my mind with anything I find interesting and stimulating: I love psychology, history and anything in the arts (writing or art work intrigue me). This is just a taste of who I'm, something to wet your appetite with, If I've peeked your interest, then I welcome you into my world. |

Thats good stuff. Here's a few pointers, take them or leave them: 1) Make sure you know what type of girl you are after. That is well-written, and may not attract the "wuz up wit u biatch" myspace crowd. Personally, I don't think thats a bad thing. 2) I've found that you should never describe qualities about yourself in a profile...you must demonstrate them. Instead of saying you are funny, be funny in your profile or give an example of your spontaneity. In other words, throw some well placed jokes in there. Its an intense profile and you need to lighten it up with some well placed humor. 3) Its information overload. From this profile, I know you like history, arts, movies, socializing, music, surfing, the outdoors, etc. When you list things like that, it leaves little to the imagination and sounds like you are trying to hard. Peak the interest and back off. Be a little mysterious. For instance, the purpose of you listing psychology, art, and history is that you want girls to know you are well-educated and knowledgeable. I've got a line in my profile that does all this while being funny and is much less in your face. Here it is: "I hope to eventually find someone who cares about sports, politics, the perfect ice cream flavor, current events, philosophy, old episodes of Saved by the Bell, religion, music, literature, the unintentional comedy of Keanu Reeves....get what I'm saying?" See the difference? 4) You must demonstrate high value. Part of doing this is to make a girl feel like she would be lucky to know you. So instead of saying: "This is just a taste of who I'm, something to wet your appetite with, If I've peeked your interest, then I welcome you into my world." change it to something like this: "This is just a taste of who I am. Appetite whetted? I've got a lot going on right now, but if you are intriguing then I may find room for you in my world." Its now her job to impress you. All in all its a good profile. Minor tweaks here and there with some well placed humor and you will sound less like you are trying to impress your audience with your well-rounded, passionate life, and more like you are intriguing them with it. -Esperanto |
