Post subject:  Hard work

So I thought I'd share this with you all for interests sake and maybe also to get some advice :D

I had a half hour stop at a train station last Friday and decided to have a look about. Finding a tasty HB9 I decide to approach - she's sitting on a bench and I ask her where's a good place to grab some food as the cafe's closed. As she replies I place my bag down and sit on the bench next to her (but with some space between so as not to crowd her). She asks what I'm doing and I tell her that I am no longer hungry with a cheeky grin. She laps this up and we get chatting for a few minutes and I manage to get her email address before she has to dash for the train. Now I am aware that this is not ideal but I did not believe that she would dispatch her number to a stranger in a train station after only two minutes, not sure if this was right?

Aaaanyway..... I get back and decide to look her up on Facebook. I find her and decide to play it cool by sending her a message but not adding her as a friend... it goes something like this:

SUBJECT: I was hungry ;)

"Hey Laura, how was the weekend back in Derby?

I think persuading you that I’m the kind of guy who tells ‘white lies’ in the first few sentences was not an ideal start! ;) To make up for it here’s some honesty:

I didn’t ask if you knew where I could get some food as a clichéd chat up line, the café was really closed and I was starving. That said, I did avoid the man with the large baguette and crisps at the bottom of the stairs to come and ask you instead! :D

Can you beat that for honesty?! ;) "

Two days pass and I don't want to bust her balls about not replying so I add her as a friend. By the end of the day she has accepted but still no reply? So I have a bit of a think and decide that because she's so hot a little neg would do nicely as another message. I've read about the old "is that a wig" line but thought that it might be a bit much so I toned it down and posted the following:

SUBJECT: Question...?

"Laura, can I just ask - were you drunk when we met?!"

By the end of the day she replies:

"Ermm no.. why?"

I've now left it a further day to show that I'm not too pushy but I'm aware that the next message could really be make or break for continuing on my way to a swift number close. The plan then is to meet up asap and get to the real gaming ;).

Any good ideas on a response?
