| Post subject: | Decipher this Facebook PM |
I'm very new to PUA, only been reading up on it for about 2 weeks. I meet this girl several months ago, prior to PUA reading, out at a bar/club, do some dancing, get a N-close. I play the text game the next day and she ends up adding me on Facebook. We setup a date and things go off okay, touching, flirting and get the K-close. After the date, I get the text of "I had so much fun tonight, thanks for giving me a ride and talk to you soon". During the date I set-up for the second date by telling her I can get free tickets to a hockey game, she says "sure, I'd love to go but I work the next 3 weekends." She's a nurse, so I believe her. She sends me a fair amount of texts over the next couple of weeks, I ignore some, and she sends me a PM on Facebook "Either you don't get my texts or you just don't respond to them! : )". I gave a awful response "Yeah, my my phone sucks and I don't get good service" Just a dead end response and my first step towards disaster with this one! I also get the vibe that she is really looking for a boyfriend and heavy on the dating at the moment. I PM her on Facebook over the last week asking if she wants to go the the hockey game I got tickets to, here are the PM's: "I like the profile picture, looks familiar... (pic of her the night we went out) I have tickets to the Devils game on the 4th…want to go? I have extra tickets if your sister and her boyfriend want to go, or I can ask if just your sister wants to go ; )" She responded pretty fast with: "Hey, thanks! Yes I would love to go, I am scheduled to work that evening, but I can try to get someone to switch with me. Or if you would rather just take my sister...I guess I'll understand I wait a couple days and send a reply: "Thanks for understanding, you're so kind. I'll save the extra tickets in case you get off of work. How was Thanksgiving, or did you have to work it? And by "work it" I mean the street corner...I assume you have to pull together some extra cash to help pay for that new house you bought, right?" It's only been 4 days, but her typical response time is much faster than that...what's my next play or just dump If I don't get a response? |

your response was lame. that's why she hasn't replied. I know you were trying to be funny but you may have crossed some line in her mind. Moreover, you entire tonality in these conversations are a bit off. You want to be C&F but you keep phrasing things like a question. That's not a trait of an alpha male. Your last message may have hit a little to close for comfort (I'm assuming she recently bought a new home). How to recover: text her some fluff talk (DHV story), then bring up the date topic again and don't fuck it up again. Hopefully the story will convince her to give you another shot. |

Thanks for the response. -How was my first PM to her? "your response was lame. that's why she hasn't replied. I know you were trying to be funny but you may have crossed some line in her mind." -I agree with you here, can you give some examples on how you would have replied. "Moreover, you entire tonality in these conversations are a bit off. You want to be C&F but you keep phrasing things like a question. That's not a trait of an alpha male." -So, no phrasing CnF in question format? "Your last message may have hit a little to close for comfort (I'm assuming she recently bought a new home)." -So you are saying this was too brash or upfront? How to recover: text her some fluff talk (DHV story), then bring up the date topic again and don't fuck it up again..." -I've been reading a lot and trying to put some of the readings to work, but obviously I'm not there yet. -Also, how do I text her a DHV story when she hasn't responded to my PM, doesn't that DLV? I'm not really sure what I would text her...??? Example? |

First PM: you tried to make her jealous/laugh by suggesting you should go with her sister. The idea was ok, the execution not so much. A better version would have been, "I like the profile picture, looks familiar... but why am I not in it? lol So I got those tickets, they're for the 4th. You wanna meet at 6 or 8? (Don't give her the option to say no, if she really can't she'll say so) Or if you're busy your sister might be interested Your response was lame: how I would reply based solely on what you have mentioned (I don't know what the deal is with the house); "Let me know. If I don't go with you I'll have to ask someone else. How was your thanksgiving? I did [what did you do]. Hope you didn't have to work, busy girls are gonna put us guys to shame It's not so much that simply phrasing it as a question make's it unalpha, it's that the way you're doing it makes it sound needy. Like 'I want you to answer this question' needy. Just state things, %80 of the time you'll be fine. You were joking about her being a hooker. Tread lightly. You can message her if she hasn't replied in a while. You should be fine. The message should be like you're talking to a friend about something awesome that happened that day. ideas 6-best-dhv-stories-vt16088.html It would be a DLV if you messaged her everyday asking her to please answer you back. |
