Ok guys, so here's my opener, really basic: ''Hey, you look like someone who can answer this question! So this girl kissed my friend, but he'’s gotta girlfriend. Do you think that'’s cheating? '' I have an average of 80% of a second message, but, most of the times, let's say 70% of the time, the girl will stay in the topic of cheating. Could you guys help me to shift the conversation to build attraction or just going away from the main question?? Thanks a lot |

you've kind of condensed the wig opener and went into the story/ question part. i don't think it's bad to ask questions. i think it's great in fact. i just think THAT question doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room. it's why i didn't like using it. you end up in endless conversation with a stranger about cheating and you really don't build much rapport. plus i'd rather not have the subject of cheating lingering around. it's a negative subject. but if you were to continue chatting about it, there is a chance that something will be said that can lead into an actual conversation that is more promising. but most people will answer questions when asked. but if you just wanted a question. how about this? "You're favorite band is in town and you get to see them with your friend who is an even bigger fan. One of the crew asks you if you'd like to go back stage to meet the band but your friend isn't invited. Your friend tells you that if she can't go back that she doesn't want you to either. Do you sympathize with your friend and stay with her or do you go backstage knowing that it will infuriate your friend?" I'm not saying it's a whole whole lot better than what you were going with but it can very easily lead into the whole "what's your favorite band/music" type talk. |

Yeah, that's what I think, the opener doesn't really help to build a conversation. I'll try to find a better opener. Thanks buddy |
