I do. AFF is a very interesting site, with it's pros and cons. A major pro is that non-paying members still get to access a ton of features on the site... you can send messages to other people, receive messages, go into the chat rooms, etc. So it's very functional even if you don't want to pay a lot of money. A con to the site (depending on what you are looking for) is that it IS called Adult Friend Finder, so people there are really only interested in sex, not in dating. That is just a frustration that I have found as a woman. Now, there is as always, a hierarchy that comes with these dating sites. Single women are always on top. They are what people come to the site to look for, and they get flooded with emails. I probably receive 50 emails a day (no joke) on AFF, and I don't even go on regularly. Couples looking to hook up or swing are next on the hierarchy. At the bottom on the hierarchy you have single men. So, I'd say as a single man, especially on a site like AFF, you have to do a lot more to put yourself out there, but overall I'd say AFF is a site worth checking out if that is what you are looking for. ~Kitty |

Kitty is spot on with her review. FF has one of the largest memberships of any (paid) dating site (20+ million members currently), though this is a bit misleading: 1) There are reports that this number is inflated, due to fake and inactive profiles. 2) The total membership is spread out over quite a few countries. As with any dating site you're considering, I recommend using alexa.com to find out what percentage of the total membership is in your country (if you're unsure how to do this, I recently recorded a video in which I cover this http://su.pr/1GmQQq; it's towards the middle of the video). 3) Compared to other sites, there's a higher than average percentage of male members (which is great for Kitty, I assume, but less so for you). However, this percentage varies from region to region. So I recommend testing the site out (with a free membership) to see how it plays out in your region FIRST before paying for an upgraded membership. Hope this helps. Best, Dan |

If you're a registered male member of AFF, you most definitely can't send any messages out, unless you're a paying subscriber, whereas women can get by on a free account, as long as a guy messages her first. This set up (where guys all have to pay to be able to send messages out and almost all women have free accounts, totally sucks and is why standard sites like Match.com that have the same set up, also totally suck, as it encourages too many women to be flakes, fakes (scammers pretending to be women) and attention whores, who are on to play games. To make up for the ridiculous imbalance of male members to female ones, there's a lot more fake female profiles (mostly generated - created by AFF for the most part), so 70% of the time you're having to ask female members you're messaging, 'sorry to ask, but are you even a real person and can you prove it'. Male members have also got to contend with higher numbers of attention whore female members on adult dating sites (and also women who are quasi hookers and who want payment), who are flakes and like revelling in the attention they get from being messaged, but who have no serious interest to ever meet up in person. If a female member has abandoned her profile without shutting it down (like it says 'this member hasn't logged in for 3 months', 'or for over 3 months'), AFF still keeps it up and you're totally wasting your time messaging them, as you have to be logged in to read your messages, whether you're a free or a paying member. You'd have to probably be a paying Gold member, to have inbox messages sent to your EMail address. |

My experience: 1. Tons & tons even more tons of fake/spam ads on there for girls 2. there is probably a 1 to 500 ratio of real profile to guys profiles 3. I think its like $60 bucks... and if you forget to cancel it, it will be automatically billed again. On the plus side I hear MOST of the messages that guys send out are hey/hi/one liners and pretty much the lame type. |

That's about right. I've had a profile on here before I learned game and it was a waste of time. After I got a lot better with online game and started helping others with it, it was still a waste of time. There are very few real profiles on there. The other thing I noticed is that it's typically women from about 28-40 at least in my area of the country.1. I was a member for about a year. It's pretty much a waste of time. It's MUCH easier to get laid on a regular dating site. The women there are pretty much just flaunting their vaginas with no follow through, The flake factor is through the roof! The first chick I met from that site admitted to having herpes. I thanked her for her honesty and broke it off. She said lots of guys will still sleep with her knowing that. AMAZINGLY desparate guys I assume. These are nOT the type of women you want to meet, my friend. Don't go there. |

I've blogged on there on and off for years, you can do that for free. The male-female ratio goes from 10 to 20 to 1 depending on country. There's a page that tells you numbers of people. In some ways profiles on there are easier as all you have to do is make out like you're a sexual guru, that you have standards and are picky. You can ignore the rest of the stuff that you would put on other types of profiles. In terms of pictures most "decent" women appear to prefer erotic over explicit. but the bolder you are about it the better it will work. As a guy the chance of not having to pay to operate on the site is slim to nothing. Whilst the competition is vast the competition is also very stupid and have even less idea how to communicate than a normal dating site. However there's plenty of guys who have the gift of the gab and plenty of women who have bad judgement. If you were to go on there, I'd stick to really hot and/or obviously intelligent women as both of these types are likely to be a lot more discerning about who they meet and who they have sex with. The bloggers, whilst a distinct minority tend to fit in these categories. I've got 1 cool friend from there that I've met a number of times. she's older and very sexual and also very fussy over who she meets. There's other women I could have met but declined to ask when signs of dubious judgement emerged. |

On the subject of adult sites, has anyone had any experience with the Canadian based Ashley Madison site (I believe it's currently available to people in the US, Canada and the UK, but not other countries). It's meant to operate on people buying 'credits', but what I'd like knowing is if both genders have to pay to use it (if that was the case, it'd help to weed out a lot of the fakes and flakes that are on AFF and other similar sites), or if only guys wanting to message women have to pay money to use it, while women can use it for free, as long as a guy messages them first. |

Greg007 the simplest way is to set up a fake female profile and you will see if women have to pay for such and such services. I suspect you'll find that women will pay little or nothing for the same services. When I set up my fake female profile for recon purposes (I'm in Switzerland and almost extensively use Swissfriends) I found out that women will get their free trial period extended further while men have to pay for the extension. By accident I found out a useful feature or quirk of the site. When someone sends you a message then it appears only on the sites mailing system, but if you send a photo then an automated mail is sent from the site to your mail making you aware someone has sent a photo. Some people will visit their 'dating' site infrequently compared to checking their normal mail. |
