So I play jazz music here in town and met a girl on Thursday who had come to the gig with some people that we mutually know. We struck up some conversation and she volunteered some information on what she was drinking and talked about some other stuff, but after the gig we went our separate ways and I didn't really pay too much attention to her, or really have time since I was playing. Last night she was at the same jazz club watching some music. I spotted her and said hey and then by the second set went over to her, asked her what she was drinking and she let me try a sip of her Martini (out of her straw)she offered me a chair next to her so I sat at her table. We both watched the music and didn't have much time talk, but when we did (in between songs) the conversation went well and was pretty light and I cracked plenty of jokes and had her laughing several times. So anyways I finally facebooked her and she immediately responded to my friend request and then responded to a status update I posted and said "Im tired too! It was nice to see you out again!" I'm new at the entire IOI thing, but I think this girl has to be somewhat interested. She made comments about how she enjoyed my playing on Thursday and what not. I am new to all of this and am just curious as to how to proceed as facebook is the only way I have to really communicate with her right now outside of randomly seeing her. I don't wanna come across as needy, creepy ect..So I am asking my brothers for help!!! Thanks BTW I am 29 and I think she is 25. Thanks! |

Ideally you would've gotten her number when you saw her again. Ideally you should get her number in person. The thing you have to ask yourself now is: How likely are you to see her soon? If the answer is 'very likely' and 'soon' then I would hold off and try to get it in person. Otherwise you have to strike while the iron is hot and start gaming her online. Start talking to her about the event, crank up the c&f, keep the messages down to about one a day (makes you seem busy) and eventually suggest she join you in a social situation (party, etc), get the number and start your text game. BTW, it does sound like she was giving you ioi's especially being a musician and all. |
