Post subject:  okcupid HB9 (using mirror opener)
Ok so I read someone on here talking about okcupid so I decided to give it a try. BTW, I've had little to no luck with okcupid girls, I've sent 30 openers, got only two back, but the two who bit are really cute.

Anyway, here's the exchange. Props to the guy who came up with the mirror opener. This girl is an HB9 from LA and I honestly thought I would have messed this up. Any help on how to continue would be greatly appreciated

Me: Dude, whos the chick in your mirror? She's hot, hook me up!
HB9: fuck you. ;)
Me: wrong answer. you're no fun. ;)
HB9: Right answer....and i'm a blast :D
Me: really? prove it. so I'm curious, what's your number one most awesome superpower? you get bonus points for being creative =)
HB9: Hrmmm...I'm like Sylar from Heros and I can cut everybody's foreheads open and then take thier powers away from them :O
Me: If Sylar and Quinn from Glee had a daughter, you'd definitely be her. i could totally see you going around in a skirt stealing powers from losers and breaking boys hearts. You'd just have to pick up singing and you'd be set... and I said creative, so -10 points for stealing his! =p
HB9: Who said I stole Sylar's??!?!? Sylar stole my power! so mehhh!!! :p
Me: LOL, that was cute, you remind me of my little sister! =D
HB9: Uh oh! Is that a good thing or bad thing??
Me: Haha, let's find out. You're a beautiful girl, but there are a lot of very pretty girls in SoCal. What do you have going for you, what makes you unique?

She hasn't responded, it takes her a couple hours. But what do you guys think so far?

Well man you had some good bantering going on there. I love the mirror opener and you played it off well. I wouldn't have asked for her number so quickly because that usually takes a little more rapport being built before we can get that but it didn't phase her and you didn't bring it up again. Things are running well, let's just see what her response is.

i think you called her beautiful too fast. also, the canned lines work, but you cant just throw them out one after the other after the other. you've got to have some real conversation in there.
