Hey people, So here's the deal, I've been away travelling and so has this other girl I have had the hots for, for about 5 years. I recently came back but she is still away. We didn't meet while travelling and actually we only really know each other through a friend of a friend back home. But I messaged her to see how the travelling was going and since then we've been writing to each other quite alot. She doesn't get back for another 3 months, and of course I'm not just gonna wait around for her - I'm doing my own thing although will definitely be keeping myself single during this time because in the past we've never hooked up because either she or I was in a relationship. I will definitely be trying to get with her when she comes back, because (a) she is hot as hell and (b) we're similar and I think would genuinely make a great couple. My concern is that all these messages going back and forth may push us into the friend zone before she comes back. The dilemma is that I genuinely enjoy reading her messages and writing back to her.. so not really sure what to do... The three options I guess are: - keep being friendly via email and build up a trust - start flirting in the email (which to me seems really lame) - go cold on her and test the situation - might backfire, she's hot stuff and gets loads of male attention Thoughts? |

ah the long game gives you the opportunity to build a lot of comfort and have the attraction simmering on a low heat until a time closer to when you can see her and dial it up some more. You don't want to flirt openly or be too friendly, Which is where CF comes in, if you can do it, as its really neither. but it does generate interest. to keep it simmering you cant message too much. You can have the occasional volleys. With her travelling and you having a life, it's perfectly congruent that you might not talk for days or even a week. but then you can link your CF'ed volleys together with recurring themes and DHV with stuff you've been upto. and in this way maintain a level of interest and intrigue without overplaying your hand either way. |
