This is my OKcupid profile, I think it's a fairly accurate and in depth summation of who I am in words. I'm looking to make it more appealing, without intrinsically altering the content, perhaps polish, not renovate? http://www.okcupid.com/profile/Burian/ The challenge, I'm fairly vexxed and at a loss on how to proceed. Kudos for good taste in written material. That skirt being cute is irredeemably more appealing, however, and my admitting such is probably some form of inadmissible internet faux pas, but I just like your sense of style. Write me back, before you decide to send us all into oblivion, won't you?" This was her reply. "You have my vague interest, for the main reason that I had to check through my pictures to see if you were adding into your profile small clues to my life I had inadvertantly left lying around my profile and/or pictures as you have listed more than a few things I have lying around in my room as "something you think about" or whatever the exact category is. For example, I own Understanding Phyiscs by Asimov, The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand (though I have great distaste for her and her objectivist views; the book was a gift, I would have rathered socks or a tacky sweater), Evangelion, a few copies of Dali paintings, etc., things that could have possibly been in pictures I'd put on this site. Not that I'm so self absorbed that I thought you'd copy me, but it was too strange not to check. You understand. Another small reason is the way you wrote your profile. It was an interesting "stream of consicousness", but with a purpose, if you'd call it that. Not completely sure, though. I suspect for some reason you may be a sociopath (you just give off that vibe over the internet-- and with such little contact thus far!), or perhaps a disillusioned ex-goth kid, finally realizing that there is more that/to the "dark side of life". This particular paragraph is just me talking out of my ass and making surface judgements based on a general vibe (though the sociopath part is stronger than anything else, just mentioning that). Read Lolita by Nabokov. What prompted your "interest" in lolitas? Or is it just little girls? There IS a difference, I hope you realize. I also hope that you don't indulge in these fantasies via actual sexual behavior with underaged girls. Hyde" I don't know what to make of this, it's flirty in a way and interested, calling me a sociopath and her suggestion in the end seem obvious shit tests, I am good at handling my own written content, but what message do I want to convey in response, and what messages is she conveying emotionally? Thanks in advance for helping me to unravel this yarn. |

Dude,, I think that is one of the best posts I have read here. Heavy duty shit. But can you back it? This chick definately wants to find out. ""You have my vague interest"" Bs,,, man you got her total interest. She's looking for congruancy here. Are you for real? Here's what I would guess about her. She's IQ 130 plus. She gets bored with people, because it all seems like lame bullshit to her. She's bored with life and most crap morals and customs. She always feels alone, because she is unique. She can actually generate her own opinions and positions, and talking to other people turns into a real drag because most people are born "repeaters" and have few original ideas. So if you can "back it", do so. I think your pit-fall here is falling into the "brain game'. Seeing who can act the smartest. SHow you're for real and start to generate some attraction. She's negging you here, so throw it right back. Test her brain. Let her qualify. Let us know how things work out. Good luck |
