Hi guys, posting here for the first time, though I have been lurking around and reading a lot of posts, and frankly, some DOs and DONTs have really helped me improve massively in a matter of days! My description, I used to be interesting, or I think I was and it was easier for me to get replies and close the covos with numbers exchange. Then I got into a relationship of 3 years which ended a couple of years back and SWOOSH! I had lost the touch. Here's a conversation I just had with a HB7.5 on FB. (Here's where it got interesting after some intellectual conversation after a short introduction) Me : I am not generally sweet but this world would have been a better place if people had similar mentality to yours. Or at least the social media would have. Her : I wish. But then I would have to deal with so much competition! Me : Competition only helps you grow, doesn't it? Her : Oh man, Smart Word Play. I forgot who I was talking to. Me : How can you forget when you don't know who I am yet? Her : True, though I know, by now, that you do have a way with words.. And then I lost the plot and it went on like an interview and I closed the conversation. Thoughts? I have a doubt though, am I supposed to compliment her at the beginning? My Negging game isn't as strong too. OnlineGamer |

From my experience, the longer you play it out the higher the chances they lose interest. If you get her hooked in a way where she thinks you're either funny or really clever and smart and starts giving you IOI's, then go for a date. In cases like this: Her : True, though I know, by now, that you do have a way with words.. You can say something along the lines of "Glad you noticed, we should totally grab a drink this Thursday night" or something like that. Something that acknowledges what she says and let her know you're not just there to talk online. The goal is to get a meet up. When she said "By now I know" or stuff like that shows there's a connection and she feels she knows you in some capacity. The next logical step is to meet up. Always look for ways to meet up in person. I've done so much online chat and while what I say isn't the best and I am working on that, my goal is to get a solid meetup. I rarely get flakes if you're either really funny and make them laugh a bunch or they feel like you are very clever and intriguing. It's the ones where you ask out and have no substance to back it up that will flake. |

Hi there man, appreciate your reply. There's a catch though, I am from India and here, girls really need to feel connected to be able to meet up and they have trust issues. So I'm sure she would have stalled me, if not rejected, cause that's how it is here, and I stalling is a major obstacle for me cause then I kind of lose interest. What you think though? |

Ah yah I have heard too many stories. Don't get too interviewy then. Have fun with it. Make up stories and have her play along. Some people have cool posts about online messages that are way better than I can give you. I'd check those out and just have fun with it. Keep making jokes. Make her laugh. If you ask her an interview question, don't keep going back and forth asking more question, delve deeper into it. Ask her more about it. Figure out her passions and talk about those and her dreams and aspirations and such. Definitely check out some of the stuff people post here though for the online "chat logs". Some are really awesome and I've definitely learned a good amount. |
