Hey guys, I've arranged to meet a girl I met on Ok Cupid. I noticed that she's now deleted her profile. I asked her why, and she said she got too many annoying messages from guys, etc. Is this a potential red flag, or am I over-thinking it? I just hope she doesn't turn out to be a guy or something! Haha! |

Important thing is that you have her number. Women delete their profiles all the time. Many of them were talked into trying online dating by their friends , "just to see". After a couple of weeks they get tired of all the idiots and delete their profile. You must not have come off as an idiot cause you got the number and date. Good luck. |

Thanks for the feedback, fellas. Update: After I got her number, we exchanged a few texts & arranged when and where to meet. I was unsure whether to tell her that I have a physical disability. Although a guy (or girl) doesn't necessarily have to give ALL the information about themselves, I thought she might not appreciate turning up to our date to find that I hadn't given her "the full story". Thus, I told her in a light hearted way that I'd be easy to recognise, as she'd see my two walking sticks. Her response to this "bombshell" was to act all confused, saying she'd got mixed up & thought she'd been texting "someone else". I figured this was almost certainly bullshit & a LAME excuse to get out of meeting with me. She said she was sorry, and that she couldn't meet me, as she was "expecting someone else's call..." So, long story short, she flaked in a ridiculous manner! Top score for "creative lying" though! NEXT! |

Being different that what you expected. A limp....maybe you dont have to tell her. But walking sticks? Yeah, make sure its on your profile or you prepare them before meeting them. |

Fair enough. I guess it depends on the handicap, the person & the situation. I can understand both sides to this. Some people with a physical disability may wish to tell a potential date about it straight away, others might not... My disability isn't a problem for ME, but I understand that it CAN be for a lot of women. I guess I just thought that telling dates about it straight away might not be the best strategy, given that my disability could be seen to put me at a "disadvantage" straight off the bat... |

Since your Disability is something that they will see when they meet you I think it's better if you tell them before hand. If it were something you could hide, you could get away with having an amazing date and telling her at the end once she is hooked. But since they can see it at the start you might as well tell them before. How often has it worked out for you from online? |

I only dabble in online dating occasionally. I've had a few dates & one lay from it, but it's still very much hit & miss, much like my game in general... |
