I've developed a system to successfully open as many matches as possible. It's not a killer line, but rather a carefully crafted system of lines to maximize your chances.
Here are the steps:
1. Check how keen she is and if the timing is good.
You: low investment, something like a simple smiley
Her: will answer if she wants to talk, will ignore if she's busy.
2. If she was busy, wait a day. Otherwise follow-up immediately. Find out if she is stuck up by giving her a compliment.
You: show interest, for example "cute photos!"
Her: either returns a compliment and helps you escalate, or reveals that she is cold and over-solicited.
3. Now, you have a much clearer notion of if the timing is right and if she's going to be a tough sell. You can go for something more elaborate and have a higher chance to rub her the right way.
You: escalate with the keen girls, demonstrate value/find commonality/spark curiosity with the tough ones, switch timing with the silent ones.
Her: When done correctly, she will start asking questions about you, at which point you have successfully opened a conversation!
4. When the above fails, or a convo goes quiet for no obvious reason, use my line of last resort.
You: "I'm about to delete this app, but let's keep in touch, whats your FB name
"Her: Acknowledges that you're too cool for Tinder and feels the sense of loss aversion. Women like having options, even when they are too lazy or busy to do anything about it. Usually, you can get the FB and have a 2nd chance!
