http://www.okcupid.com/profile/Noitartst?cf=profile Well, there's my profile, sans any photo, which, obviously, I need to get. Well, that aside, how's my profile? They say you need convey something of your personality, which I think I've done, but I hope I have betrayed any DLV dips in the process, or anything. Also, Richard LaRuina said that the most success he'd had online involved descriptions rich both in feeling, and detail, so I tried copying the spirit of his advice on my "About" page essays. Think what I did's effective? I hope so. |

First thing I notice is your name... It's the same as your PU handle. Now, correct me if i'm wrong here but... Any woman with half a brain is going to look up your screen name. You've essentially shot yourself in the foot because it's going to be piss easy to find you're into PU. |

Thank you...I wish I knew this sooner, but this is a learning experience. Now, it seems that I'll need temporary upgrade to change my name, I guess...there--cost me, but I changed it. Noitartist too similar, though? If not, that's anothe $19.85 down the rathole.... |

I think you should take out this part: "Facewise, I'd say I'm better than average, but I've never really given it too much though, not the least because I dislike shaving, thave thus grown my beard out." You have a picture up, they know what your face looks like |

The written part is top-notch. It will not appeal to club girl types. But I don't think that is what you after anyway. Written parts shows you're educated and write on a college level. Work on the pictures. Maybe trim your beard just a little, put on a button down shirt and smile. IMO, the biggest improvement anyone can make on pictures is always smiling and looking non-creepy. Not saying you look creepy, but if you look at the photos that rate high on "my best face". They all have three things in common: - smiling - taken outside - subject in them looks like they are having fun |

Your picture looks creepy... You're going to need to improve that. Consider the fact that a profile picture is the first thing you'll see. If you don't like it or you're weirded out by it you're going to skip right on past and not bother reading anything else. Either shave the beard or style it and work on your pose. You look really awkward in that picture. If you look awkward in your profile picture(Not even one picture of a normal happy pose?) then how can you be seen as confident and attractive in person? Also, your clothes in that picture look terrible. It almost looks like you got them in a charity shop(At least the top) and the background is terrible. It makes you look really small. If you're 6,1 how in the hell do you look so tiny against that door? Do you live in giant land or something where doors are extra wide and extra tall? |
