Hey guys, title says it all really! I installed Tinder today and so far have two matches, both attractive (I was fussy as hell with who got my approval!). The first I left for a few hours and then said something along the lines of, "I only just installed Tinder this morning, that makes you my first! Be gentle That was about two hours ago and so far no reply, not that I expect attractive girls to reply instantly to every match they get (as I imagine it's a lot more than guys get!). This one is 18 and I'm 26. The second match I've said nothing to yet, but it is actually someone that I have met (briefly) before and will no doubt see around again as we share some friends. Not sure if she remembers who I am or not, how do I go about this one? She's 20 and I haven't aged much since the last paragraph Seems to be a trend that guys are always the ones doing the first messaging here? As I said before, just out of a four year relationship so I'm no doubt a little rusty, but I'm going with the assumption that most guys who message them are AFC and I'll have to be a bit cocky and aloof? Cheers! |

"How would you open someone you've met briefly before on Tinder? I haven't said that to her but could it be an okay opener? |

I ended up making a joke about how horrible it was when my sister was learning violin and how patient her family must be for the second girl, since she has a couple of pictures of her playing. No reply so maybe she took me as a jerk? Haha. No reply from the first either, no other new matches unfortunately (I'm in a very small city). Was thinking of leaving it a week for the first girl and then doing something along the lines of, "Dear XX, just checking it to see if you're okay? I figure you must have fainted after my first message, like winning the lottery! Hope that you get well soon. Regards, -XX." Thoughts? Just going to ignore the second one for now. |
