I recently came across the hb 8 on POF

I wanted to try a humorous approach so I opened with the following message that I admittedly copy and pasted but modified the second half of it. She was initially kind of bitchy but I thought I handled it well but I think a failed on the attempt to number close. I think i pulled the trigger to early. What should have done?

Me: "Damn shorty, you looking kinda good!! Youknowhati'msaying? Let me holla at you for a minute, youknowwhati'msaying? I saw your profile and I said I gots to talk to this girl youknowwhati'msaying? So how about me and you, okay, go back to the crib, sip on some henney, and then we could do the grown up. I could make your cheeks clap, youknowwhati'msaying?”
P.S. I dont really talk like this lol message me ;)

Her: That is soo unattractive

Me: lol That was a joke to test your sense of humor, I forgive you tho, it's not for everyone ;)

Her: I have a sense of humor. Trust.

Me: Oh really, then tell me a joke

Her: Lol no

Me: the i'll tell you a joke "What happened when the butcher backed into his meat grinder?"

Her: Whaaaaaat happened? <----(or something like this, I accidentally deleted the message)

Me: HE GOT A LITTLE BEHIND IN HIS WORK

Her: ahahaha --- or LOL <--- (or something like this)

Me: Funny right? lol

So many things went wrong.

1. Instead of standing out and acting like a well educated confident male, you went with thug wanna be opener - these site are swarmed with millions of them - you shot yourself in the foot there. There are different kind of humor - pick the clever type not the silly - clowning ones.

2. You started off with low value because of the opener. Then you TRIED to qualify her with the sense of humor thing. QUALIFYING only WORKS when you're in a STRONGER frame. Hence, she did not buy it. Nor did she jumped your hoops to prove herself to you with the "tell me a joke thing"

3. She showed no sign of interest yet you didn't take the hint and dragged on the jokes. Should have changed topic to something that engages her more.

4. "Funny right?" - It's like a comedian walks up on stage. Tell a joke. Then not even sure if it was funny and asks the audiences whether if it was and beg them to clap their hands. That's a NO NO. Next time, if you tell a joke, own it. Don't laugh before they do. Don't ask if it was funny.

5. So you were trying to act all cool and higher status on her, but then you went ahead and "okay let me tell you a joke" to entertain her and qualified to her. Like you threw a loop and she didn't jump through it, then you jumped it YOURSELF....Your frame is inconsistent.

Her consistent 3-4 word answers after that completely unnecessary train wreck of an opener (please never do that again) kind of indicate that's where you lost her, buddy.

Come up with something better and less annoying and try with other targets.

It's all about learning and adapting to improve your results on dating sites.

LOL. I really didn't know it was that bad. Well thanks for not pulling any punches. I really appreciate it and I definitely won't open with such a ridiculous opener next time. Damn you bodybuilding forums lol

Wow that was horrible, not only was your first message annoying it may also offend some, and definitely not funny. These chicks are inundated with dumb asses all day attempting to be funny like that or legitimately talking like that.
Be more C&F, genuine, ask open ended shit, hell I used to use opinion openers on there, just try a bunch of crap out and see what works for you, its the internet so get creative!

Also stop looking so needy with the "lol"s and winky faces. Also build some damn rapport before you # close, you know, an actual convo.
