The app doesn't off much in the way of customization, and you can only chat with people if they like your profile, which consists of a few picks and maybe a one liner. Anyone using tinder? How can you get more matches? I like app because a lot of people at my college use it, plus you don't waste time pursing people who are not interested, since the app only lets you talk to matches. |

It's not about getting more matches. I could swipe right to every girl and get loads of matches - but most would be girls who I wouldn't want to sleep with. The point is that you only match with girls who you find attractive and who find you attractive. Basically, it cuts out all the time wasting - you both know you fancy each other's physical appearance, so you may as well just get to the good bit! You want to get some good photos, it's all about how you look, nothing really to do with your sense of humour, your witty tag line or anything else. Most girls won't even read them. The first photo is the most important. If they don't like it, you're getting swiped left straight away. So rule 1 = make your first picture your best. The only time a girl will see your second picture is if she isn't sure about your first one and checks out the rest of your profile. If she doesn't fancy your first pic she'll swip left, if she really fancies your first pic she'll swipe right. It's only when she's unsure from your first pic that the rest come into play. So here you can start to show off a bit more personality in your photos - have one which makes you look interesting. Maybe that one of you playing with lion cubs or at a beach party or something like that. This way, if she's not sure about your looks from the first picture, it sways in your balance because you seem like a cool guy who does interesting things. |
