No idea if this is the apporpiate forum for this question but here goes. Details: -Met girl at party. -She's a 28 year old lawyer. -Danced with her, pulled some pretty suave dance moves(spin, dip) -Didn't give her attention all night, left mid conversation to go talk to other people and girls -Made her laugh -Facebook closed due to her not having her phone on her. -Waited a day then messaged her a witty funny opening and also asked her how the rest of her weekend turned out. She then gives me a paragraph long reply going into lots of detail about said weekend and asking how mine was. I reply with details of my weekend, tossing in another humourous comment then close that message with: "What's your number btw, I honestly prefer talking over the phone than texting." She replies 8 hours later with: "Haha! I wouldn't say I'm a party animal by any means, it was my friend's birthday and I felt the need to make an appearance, and it turned out to be a great time! Sorry I did Facebook instead of numbers, it seemed easier that way because I don't give my number out to interesting, lovely men such as yourself so as not to give the wrong impression because i'm actively not dating right now." I honestly don't know what to make of it, she's flirting but i'm also friend zoned? Any ideas? I've been thinking of replying with maybe being surprised at her mentioning dating, when i haven't brought it up beforehand myself. |

What are you going to do? Wait on her? Romantically try and convince her to start dating again? That same amount of work could be put into a girl that will want your dick in half the time. Move on. |

She's definitely not my only prospect, it's just that it takes no time at all to message her on facebook while i'm taking a dump. I really have no idea how to respond to that kind of message, it's giving me two different vibes. I've moved on after that message trust me, I just wanted to know how one would go about replying to something like that. |

You've been rejected. In a very kind and unusual manner, but still, this is a rejection. I would freeze her out and maybe try again later.

You may be right but it's about to get even more unusual. This morning I fired off a message where I wasn't expecting a reply it basically read "what do you have in mind for me here, and said my intent wasn't to date, it's just easier to talk over phone opposed to facebook(data)"This was her response: "I see... I usually get one response or the other, and unfortunately this one makes me a jerk, I'm sorry! I had a lot of fun Friday. It's nice meeting new people and you guys are really cool. I'm at ###-###-####, hope to see you soon! This is so odd. |

Guilting her into giving her number isn't increasing your chances that much. I wouldn't call right away.
You're right, but guilting her wasn't what I was trying to do. How long do you think I should freeze her at this point? A week, a month? You seem to know what you're talking about, thanks for your advice so far. |

"i'm actively not dating right now" means "I'm just having fun" which translates to "I'm just fucking guys I find interesting right now". If you have the inner game to pull this off, I would try to make this one a FB! Peace... |
