I'm relatively new to pick up but one thing that I hear emphasized over and over is the importance of repeated exposure to women, and talking to as many as possible. Just like with sports, your profession, a hobby, etc... it takes countless hours of often seemingly unrewarded effort before you start noticing real improvement and skill development. I know that is emphasized on this forum for real life sarging, but haven't seen this come up much on this part of the forum. My experience over the past year has shown me *without a doubt* that lots of practice makes just as huge of a difference for online dating. When I started out ~1 year ago, my experience was effing miserable. I rarely got responses and the responses I did get rarely went anywhere. I was lucky to get 1 phone number every month or two. Over the past year talking to so many women online has allowed me to hone a number of important things: the opener, making light and fun conversation, and transitioning to text/phone and setting up a date. Fast forward to today and its starting to get hard to handle the number of favorable responses I get. Today alone I have gotten 5 #s and probably a few more girls will be texting me in the next few days. I've consistently been with several of these girls since May. Just got out of a ~3 month relationship with one so I'm looking forward to meeting many more :p TLDR: If you're not happy with the results you're getting with online dating, DO NOT QUIT. Keep trying and over the long term it will get better. Obviously sarging in real life is much better though - that's going to be my next step once this starts to bore me. Cheers |

What if you're just really avg looking and cant even net responses? Weird to say but i just started an online profile on match and eharmony, and my charm/personality just cannot be presented accurately if at all. And since i'm not a male model, feels like i cant even get past that first hurdle of getting someone to respond. Anyone else have same experiences? its only been about four days since i've signed up but still. I'm surprised at the outcome so far. |

Hey man,Anyone else have same experiences? its only been about four days since i've signed up but still. I'm surprised at the outcome so far. Honestly I think it takes time to figure out the dynamics of these websites and what works. In my first 4 months doing online dating, I got 4 numbers and met NO ONE. Next 4 months met only a couple people with mediocre results. Last 4 months I have had really good results. Dated the same girl for a few months earlier this summer/fall... since we broke things off I've been consistently meeting new people or getting 2nd/3rd dates every week. Last night I just f-closed a girl. I'd say I'm a little above average in terms of looks but definitely not a model or anything. Hire someone for a photoshoot if you have to, but try to get the best pics of yourself that you can as that *does* make a difference. I myself could probably do better there. I just have 2 pictures, one kind of professionally done me wearing a suit, the other of me at a nightclub with a couple friends. Profile description is important too - I think that is where you can demonstrate your charm and personality since it's harder to convey that through a one-line message. Lastly, the message itself - key to success here is sending something that 1) shows your interested and 2) is creative and catchy enough to make her want to respond. Through trial and error (mostly error for the beginning stretch), I finally crafted one in particular that works really well. Not planning to share it, however the advice I will give you is to spend time sifting through this forum, as what I learned here really helped me to accelerate my results. Good luck |
