This seems to be something I'm hearing from a few people, among some people telling me that my profile is "cringe worthy". I thought it suited me well but I'm open to opinions on what people think of it. I've had replies of people telling me they thought it was funny, but everyone has their own opinions. http://www.okcupid.com/profile/cge319 |

tl;dr Actually... that's the same problem I have with mine. Giving out too much info. http://www.okcupid.com/profile/ManlySpirit/ First bit of advice is to get some better pictures on there, pic sare 90% of the game on sites. Oh and I recommend you say you're looking for just friends. Makes it easier to get girls to message YOU. |

Honestly I thought your profile was good overall. Except... the "private thing" seemed out of place somehow. That said, why not ask the girls who are saying it's cringeworthy what they mean? Could be a girl thing us guys can't figure out... also I just had a girl seemingly dislike my profile, and when I called her out on it... ok, that might need explanation: Girl's profile said she liked imagination. My profile is a little silly so I called her on saying she liked imagination but cringing at a tongue-in-cheek profile... she replied she was being sarcastic and loved my profile So what I'm saying is, find some cheeky way to call them out on replying to you despite "not liking" your profile. There's every chance they were trying to be funny, and even if not they might tell you what they meant. But I'd still change your private admission section... |

first and foremost change your pictures, they are pictures of you in your wheelchair in the office? How boring, take some photos of you being athletic, leadership, social, fun. These pix suck. the Spanish guy has much better photos although I dont like that friend angle, it's pusillanimous, but maybe in Spain you have to come on a little softer. |

I don't launch myself at every girl who comes my way. So really, it's like putting up a preemptive barrier. "If you're cool enough, we meet irl, if I like you irl, maybe I'll date/fuck you." That's the kinda frame I got. It's like they have to win you over, rather than you handing them the prize right off the bat, which makes you come off as desperate or needy. Also, removing the sexual tension at the beginning takes off a lot of pressure on these girls when they message you. Downside is you miss out on the DTF girls, but w/e, I dislike boring sluts anyway, and it's not like I bother much with OKC these days, I just keep it around for the occasional messages I get. |
