Post subject:  HELP Need Follow up to 90% "no response" message
I came up with a good response to a no response "Hey thanks for helping me win a bet!!! :D" They all respond!! ALL! Kinda weird. But when they responde they say "what was it?" or "can I know what it was?"And I don't know how to respond. Any ideas?

what was the initial message that gave no response? It may not matter that much either way. i'd probably respond that it's a secret, maybe over a drink sometime

If you change the topic too quickly, they'll smell the bullshit. Might as well just make something up, such as "My friend was like 'There are no girls on POF who like Slayer' but I knew I'd find one!", chat a while, and follow it up with "By the way, my friend owes me a beer now. Wanna split it? :D" a little later.

Yeh this will scare them away if you have a BS reply like "well tell you over a drink bla" NOOOO

I would do what beetle says.

Here is an opener that works well online, it works better on insta chat:

It works especially well if you have a bit if rapport already with them.

Generally, when a girl responds to your message, it is because she is interested or because you tricked her. otherwise they will just ignore you. Just getting to the point with no transition is fine if there is interest. If you just tricked her with your opener, likely, you won't get much anyway so I also recommend just getting to the point. I do like the idea however of just pointing out something somewhat unique about her profile and telling her I bet someone there are girls who like so and so (that's in her profile). BUT I would NOT just leave the message at that (not saying you suggested this, but it might be interpreted that way from your post) I would transition right away into something like, doing anything exciting this week? or some other question. I would do this AT THE VERY LEAST. In other words, put that by the way in the same message.

In general though, and I say it in just about every post and I will repeat it again: Messaging is not about building attraction. Your profile should build attraction. Messaging is about logistics and initiating contact in a way as to not fuck it up if she liked your profile. The odds of attracting a girl with your witty message banter when she wouldn't have wanted to meet you from your profile anyway is very low.
