Post subject:  Alternative "Online" Services
There are some newer things out there, location based dating and such. Wondering if anyone has started using those or had any success?

For instance I just tried OKCupid's "Crazy Blind Date" thing. Set up a bunch of available days... still waiting to see what happens. Wouldn't be at all surprised if I only get the fattest, most desperate girls... hoping I'll get the hot, adventurous ones instead. ;)

The other one I'm thinking of trying out is "Singles Around Me." Anyone know much about it?

Is there anything else out there that's cool/useful?

Yes, but you can't _always_ be outside meeting women. Sometimes you have to work, for instance.

Also: Singles Around Me is _for_ meeting women outside. It attempts to match you up with people nearby, then you can go talk to them in person. Although I really don't know how that goes in practice... so was hoping for more information here.
