Post subject:  Hottest girl contacted me..

Hey All,

I am just about to finish University, and today I had a facebook message from a girl who is apparently about to start my course in September. Not friends with her or everything, we have a mutual friend. She's at least an 8 or 9, and she's from another country, so is going to be moving here.

Her message had a very friendly tone and she wanted to know more about the course, asking a bunch of questions. What was odd was that our mutual friend, and a bunch of others who share the mutual friend, all do the same course, so unless she's contacted them all I can't help but think there's an ulterior motive for contacting me.

So I was wondering how I best transition into some personal chat. Even though I am leaving the Uni this year I live close to it, so I could offer to be a tour around the city or something, or is that too obvious/needy?

All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Not a bad idea, but consider that a date. So don't go for it until you feel it's appropriate. Talk about the class and then weave in an outside topic as a hook.

For example:

"Yeah, it's only like 45 minutes, my friends and i would always go out and get into trouble since it ended at noon"

Something in that vein. Don't abruptly change the topic b/c then it'll show that you're trying to change the flow of conversation. Stick to the topic at hand but throw in little tidbits like that so it feels more natural.

I´d say: "sure I can be your guide if you´ll tell me about "capital of her country", I´m thinking of going there:)"

If you use the word "sure" that way, you make it sounds as if you thought she was asking for a guide, it´s a basic sales technique

Hi,
I agree with TheRedBarron: don't change abruptely topic.
What i would do would be to propose, as you said, a tour around the city, but try not to show that it is a big deal for you, that this is something you wouldn't mind, in a way.
For instance: "And If you want I could show you a bit around town for 1 hour ? I mean maybe not the ENTIRE town, but you know, where to go, where to hang out and so on."
Doing this, you're placing yourself as a sort of guide, and still you maintain a tiny bit of mystery on what exactly you're going to show her.

If you want to move to a more personnal discussion, i would recommend that after she has replied to this message, ask her what she wants to see, i mean what she likes in a town. For instance she might say museums, parks, shopping area.
From there, you could reply with a "neg" about what she said, but then show some interest on what she answered.

For instance, if she says "I would like to see a park where I could do my weekly jogging", and then you could say "Oh so you're that kind of healthy-popular-fashionnable girl who does a weekly jogging hahah? Yes sure I could take you where i jog once in a while. Do you do a lot of sports as well?"
Or, if she says "museum", you could neg her on her being this kind of intelligent unpopular girl with glasses, and then ask her whether she makes some art herself.

Personnal advice: Try to make your first message shorter than hers.
