Rant coming. Can someone please explain to me how I can send out about 55 messages a day for a week (each to a different girl) and get 2 responses. And those responses are merely "hahaha! good one". No exaggeration. I don't understand how my luck can be so bad on these websites. I'm using both OKC and POF. I've used just about every opener I can think of. Some of them my own. Most of them variations from the ones that were said to be successful on here. I'm no GQ model, but come on, I should have at least some success by now. Not only that, but I've actually been insulted a few times. "Are you delusional?" and "You think you can get good looking girls looking like that?" Are some of the responses I've received upon opening. I even had one unsolicited response from a girl insulting me that I didnt even message about the headline of my profile. Do I just live in the bitchiest city in the US? It seems that most of the girls on POF in the city I live in are complete egotistical bitches. Have any of you guys had any experience like this? O.o Wow, my experience doesn't match yours at all. I've never gotten a confrontational reply, and I've landed dates as well as lays using online sarging. I don't understand though, you're relatively attractive, your pictures have good variety. The third person description is a bit weird, but I don't think it would be a deal breaker. The only thing I can think of is maybe you went a bit too hard on your negs? I'd need some sample messages though. Maybe the fact you broadcast you don't want any kind of commitment, but again, I don't see that being an issue, or at least not of this magnitude. POF isn't my thing though, it doesn't really encourages you to make an effort on your profile and many of the girls on there are shallow. OKC is my chosen hunting ground. |

Dude, your profile is too damn long! Think of it like an interview, you get 30 seconds to sell yourself. It is witty and funny to me what you have written, but after the first 2-3 paragraphs I was like this guy is trying to hard. If you get a response, ANY RESPONSE, then you have successfully opened on POF/OKC. If a girl says to me "Are you delusional?" I would probably reply "Mmmm, I love it when you talk dirty to me! Keep it coming..." What do you want the girls to do? HB 7: Ok, like WOW...You sent me a "Howdy" message and then I read your profile, please come pound my girl parts? yeah dude ur pics look great shows nice dhv I think the HBs are too scared because your profile has too much sexual shit and it says you only interested in NSA encounter and most are looking for relationship just pretend like you want a relationship until they agree to go out, also if you messaged someone looking for intimate encounter that could flag your profile to not pass through their filter |

Thanks for the input guys. However, there's been good news since I last posted. I've had three HB's reply on OKC. So far things are going well. One reads as follows "Hahaahaa you are soo funny, my name is Vera! I don't know if I told you but I'll be in Miami until Saturday then go back to work to Peru." Whether or not this was meant as an invitation, I responded to her with one, so maybe I will be able to meet up with this chick sometime this weekend. BTW, here is a stat report on the 2 sites. OKC: 25 messages, 6 reply's total (so far...) POF: 83 messages, 0 reply's and 2 unsolicited (meaning I did not message them first) insults. consensus: Plenty of Fish = Plenty of Bitches |

For POF, it's too long yes, but on OKC you can get away with having a longer profile, as long as you don't give everything away and you stay away from describing yourself (As another user once told me, show, don't tell).Mostly, chicks on OKC will dig a well built and funny profile, if it's not boring. Or at least that's my experience. |

His POF profile is what I was referencing. I will agree that POF and OKC are two totally different types of sites. OKC is a dating site "Typically girls want a relationship", while POF is a DTF site with the ability to say "Seeking a relationship". 80% of the time on POF I will SNL the girls I meet there, and I go sexual quickly on POF because I am not outcome dependent. OKC girls seem to be a bit more reserved about giving up the ass on a first meeting in my experience. OP what are the types of openers you are using? (Examples) Peace... |

i think that is a REALLY good profile as are the pics. if i were you though, i would change what you are after from "not seeking relationship or any kind of commitment" to "wanting to date" or "looking for a relationship". I think you are failing because women will think you just wanna fuck em, and leave em. now this may be the case but women dont want to feel like "just a lay". Even if they are only wanting sex themselves, only a few will admit it. They will still put their status as "casual dating". In short women will just think you wana use them. change what your after on your profile and i think you may see a change. keep us posted! |

One thing I have done is gotten the paid POF service. Its cheap and you are wasting time on POF so you might as well have all possible advantages. Then you can fire off 20 messages and look to see if they were "Read Deleted" or "Unread Deleted". If most of your messages go unread then it is definitely an issue with your picture since this is all they see without reading. I have tried this with a few different pictures and have noticed huge swings. One pic I thought was good only had about a 30% read ratio, Now I have an odd pic that I'm not really a fan of and it results in 90% reads. Also, If they did read your message but did not view you're profile, then that implies an issue with the message and NOT the profile. |

I've been finding that it works relatively well. It has some sexual undertone but it is not overtly sexual. It can be interpreted different ways because it has a goofy humorous tone, so its left ambiguous. So far its been working the best on OKC. This HB7, preferred that I continue to call her grasshopper and when I told her my name she preferred to call me Sensei. Asking what the first lesson would be and so forth. I was able to number close. So you can do some role playing and so forth with this one. |
