Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and would like to thank you for taking the time to read my thread and contemplate even helping me out.
I've had a number of conversations on POF were I am being witty, jokey and playful from time to time. I like having a straight conversation and letting the girl that I'm talking to know that I'm interested in her, but often times the conversation just goes silent, about eight messages in. Three things often times happen to me:
1) Sometimes I get a number and text a little, but I usually come to the realisation that we're not going to hit it off because I don't think the girl I'm talking to is on the same page, yet alone same wavelength as me.
2) I somehow say something that she doesn't like.
3) I try to and arrange a meet with the girl in some social environment or just for meeting up to go shopping, for a walk - whatever. And then it doesn't happen.
Anyone else have this sort of problem?
Anyway, I've been messaging a girl on POF who actually lives in the same small city as me and I really want to meet her in person, not sit and chat through texts and certainly not message to and fro on POF.
I've got, what I reckon is, a pretty good profile on POF and I messaged this girl with this:
Me: "Hi, you seem like a pleasant person (which is refreshing). Have a look at my profile and tell me what you think? x"
Her: "Thank you
yeah you seem really nice too, have you lived here long? What do you like to do in your spare time? "Now I know this is the beginning of a possible conversation, but what I need is some help and guidance on what to do from here because every other time I've messed this up. And my experience is telling me that her response is an almost dead end conversation.
How do I liven this up?
How do I not insult her in the process, as clearly she didn't read my profile to well - I've got my hobbies listed on there and I kind of want to call her out on it?
