| Post subject: | How to follow up ignored FB friend request |
Situation as follows... * Met a girl at a function. She was also there with boyfriend. * I introduced myself to her and we got chatting.. really hit it off (Boyfriend not there at the time) * Told her she was my type. She told me she would 'definitely' go on a date with me if single * Wouldnt give number as he was around but said we could be friends on FB * She also said she would like to go to theatre with me and very bizarrely said it with me and then infront of boyfriend. not sure why. he looked surprised. * 2 days later, I went to add her on FB. * We are now 3 weeks later and still no accept. My FB friend request has never not been accepted by someone I know, so something is up here. * Have decided I have nothing to lose and want to pursue it. * Question now is.. 1) What to say? 2) When to say it? Incidentally, I have googled her on the web and found her mobile, but I think it would be a bit scary/creepy if I called. Thinking along the lines of messagin her again on FB, |

I would move on personally, especially seeing as she has a BF. It's silly how people value Facebook closes as closes. On several occasions I've have the girl add me that very night, but then flake or not respond. And you could add anyone and they might accept you, you see what I mean? A wise friend once told me, 'Don't chase, replace.' Smart guy |

Ok.. I understand the point. Dont chase and find a new one etc.. So lets work fro the moment on the assumption that I have nothing to lose because we are not talking now anyway.. If you had one more shot..what would you say? |

the problem here started long before you got her facebook, you were not on point enough in your screening, it was more like, I'll go for what I can get, instead of I'll go for what I want you must uphold your standards, and be willing to walk away from a girl that does not meet them, she will only waste your time Quote:
*Told her she was my type. She told me she would 'definitely' go on a date with me if single
this is where you cut the shit, she is giving you excuses, it is the, ''I like you, IF ONLY FOR...''* Wouldnt give number as he was around but said we could be friends on FB * She also said she would like to go to theatre with me and very bizarrely said it with me and then infront of boyfriend. not sure why. he looked surprised. destroy the IF ONLY FOR, fucking kill it, kill it with verbal samurai style shit, DESTROY IT TOOO DEATH in set, do not allow this IF ONLY shit dis-qualify issues that are obviously non issues, and you will save yourself time by being more honest, she says I would totally date you if I didn't have a boyfriend, you say, ''we don't have to date, lets just see each other'' she says, ''no I can't give you my number blah blah boyfriend, but you can have my facebook'' you say, ''just give me your number and add me as a girl so your boyfriend doesn't know, we can keep it a secret'' this ^ is the order, remove the bullshit over and over until there is no bullshit left, and all she has is the truth, either YES, or NO, do not allow, yes... IF ONLY FOR...!! no... fuck that shit ^ get to the bottom of what you want, and don't let girls waste your time like this, you are going to chase some girl over facebook now who has a boyfriend, giant waste of time, GIANT, just do it better next time and don't lower the medium of communication, do your best in person, and change the medium as a consolation when you HAVE to bridge, not as your main objective in person > phone call > text > facebook > email > thinking really hard about her and making wishes |
