I've done the online dating thing on and off over the past few years...
I'll never claim to have full-proof, 100%, always get a reply methods because no matter what anyone will tell you, they don't exist.
I've read surveys and crap that say a popular guy on those sites probably gets replies 20-30% of the time. So with those figures in mind, yeah, I do pretty well on there.
When you went on first, you had lots of success... now you've been on there for 2 years? And it's dried up right?
The answer is simple.... do you log on every day and just see the same girls over and over and over... until one day, some new hot blonde shows up and you just HAVE to message her??
That's basically what's going on with her in reverse. If I do it, I tend to cycle on and off. If you do it for a few weeks then leave it for another month, then try again for a few weeks, there will be different girls on there. The previous ones probably met someone by now and new girls have joined up.
If you are on there 24/7, every day, she's probably seen you're not getting success and she's more interested in hearing from the "new guy" than getting another attempt from you.
So... be that NEW GUY! Just do it in cycles so you're always the new guy, and in the cycles you're not online dating, get out and meet girls elsewhere.
Also, in terms of messages. EVERY girl is different. Some like compliments, some find it cheesy. Some girls will give a number in 3 messages (go for it in 3), some won't. Some only want attention/validation, some want relationships. Some like comments on their profile, some find it stalkerish.
I have to say this though... the absolute WORST first messages I've tested... yeah, you guessed it... Ones I read in PUA columns.
For your first message, don't be cocky funny, don't be a dick (I mean, alpha), don't do the "baby baby, ur hot lolz" thing.
What WORKS the most is... be normal. Say hi, keep it short, give an indirect compliment and how you had to say hi to her, say at most 2 sentences about yourself and then seed something for her to respond with. I find this works best, just being normal.
The thing is, online there is a fine line between PUA and AFC douchebag. AFC's will do/say a lot of things online they won't say in real life, so over complimenting or trying to be too unique/funny just comes off lame.
Be normal, if she responds, then start being more funny and game her a little.
I'm no expert but taking the advice above has done well for me.
