As it can be annoying when fat women online who say they're in the 'a little extra weight' category, turn out to actually have a lot of extra weight, when met in person, often only put 1 face photo of themselves up that's a very close up shot, or maybe more than one, what's the best way to handle this, without being too rude and blunt. That is, politely asking to see a body photo, before you're willing to meet them in person. I doubt saying : 'hey I'm not superficial, but with seeing only a face photo of you, I'm not really into overweight female fatties who don't exercise. So in case we meet in person and I see you're more overweight than I expected you to be, would you be so kind and send a full and recent face - body photo showing all of you if possible. In return, I'd be happy to forward you additional photos of myself', would work. |

Honestly every time I see "a few extra pounds" I assume that to be code for "faaaat". The girls who are actually just a few extra will generally say "average" or "curvy". But if you wanna ask for more pics, I think it'd depend on your style, personality and the specific convo. Personally I'd just be direct about it. "Hey, not to sound too shallow but I do believe physical attraction is important and you have very limited photos, would you mind uploading/sending more?". Or something along those lines. If she's obese I'd just say something like "You're pretty but not my type" and so forth and cut the convo. Physical attraction IS important, for everyone and everyone knows it. I don't see any point in beating around the bush or trying to guesstimate what people look like. |

This is what I do. It's kind of crass, but it fits with my personality, and it works AMAZINGLY. Me: "I'm totally kicking your ass in the picture department." HB?: "LOL... etc." or "No you're not" or "What do you mean" (if she uses the last one she's just being difficult) Me: "Look at my pictures! No contest. You should at least send me a full body picture. It's only fair, (her name). POF/OKC/whatever has a strict policy on cheaters, you know!" (that last part is optional... it adds to the playfulness if she's uptight) HB?: "Um why?" (sometimes they'll just send you or post one though) Me: "Well, to be honest, you're awesome, but how do I know you're not secretly 300 pounds? " Sounds harsh but honestly, if she's not fat, she's more than likely to understand, especially if you're in decent shape, and even if you're not, looks don't matter as much anyway. And if she is fat, forget about her. Most of the time I get this response "LOL... fair enough" or "you are such an asshole. Here. Happy?" and they send one. Any other type of response and she's probably either fat, or difficult, or both. HERE'S THE KICKER. When she sends you the picture, don't comment on her body, unless you're not interested (btw, if she sends you one, she's probably not fat). Make a comment about her shirt, or what that picture is in the background... for example, I did this last night "Is that word Greek on your shirt?" and went into something else. If she is fat and this is over text, just be straight with her and say I'm sorry... etc. I usually like to do this before the number close though, so I can just block her haha. Good luck. |

I followed Mr. Ravengage's helpful suggestion, but the lady (who you can tell is a fattie, from her one face shot she has) declined to go further after the message. She had previously mentioned that she was exercising 5 or 6 days a week, which I had given sincere compliments and praise about, since I take regular exercise pretty seriously myself. |
