So I'm talking with this girl on OKCupid, probably an HB6.5. I think I could learn a few things from this conversation, and I've reached a fork in the road and I'm curious to know how others would handle it. Here is the latter part of the conversation thus far: HB: I'm not sure how I could ignore that message, honestly. Do you recycle your "game" for all the girls you contact on here? Haha For what it's worth, it did make me smile. I just don't know how you have the time to come up with stuff like that... Me: You mean do I take the time to read the profile of every girl I message and pick out the good details? You bet. In any event, I'll spend what time I do have coming up with a fun email for someone else. Best of luck to you! HB: Best of luck? Sounds like you're saying goodbye, and you've gotten me intrigued! Have you had a lot of success on here? I just created my profile last Friday, so I'm still not sure what to think. Where are you originally from? After the "For what its worth" comment, I was thinking about negging her, but I try to avoid that online when possible, so I decided to politely remind her that I have a lot of other options and move on. That seemed to take her attitude down a notch and make her more cooperative. Now the way I see it, I can go several different ways here. On the one hand I could engage in a more normal conversation and try and meet up in person. On the other hand, this might be an opportunity to challenger her to qualify herself and say something like "Well, give me three reasons I shouldn't just say goodbye?" which could raise her interest level (I think at least... still a little new to "applied game," for lack of a better term). Anyways, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts! Thanks! |

Dude, you actually did neg her by doing a false leave. Personally I thought it was a little crude, but it worked: she responded by asking you to stay, and asking you questions (iOi's) Answering the questions is a great chance for you to DHV. What you are now thinking of saying is a qualifier. DO NOT do it until you've DHV'd: she doesn't have a good reason to qualify herself to you yet. I would throw her one or two DHV stories with a small neg for good measure, and then go into the qualifier. Try to make your qualifier less demanding and more playful. And when you neg, make sure to use emoticons as to not sound rude. Hope this helps! |

She responded and said "Hey, I want to talk to you" and you want to push again? Dude it is Push/Pull...Now you pull. Answer her question with some witty humor and then move forward. You have this one with very little effort Peace... |

Hey guys, thanks for the advice! Just a quick update, I N-closed, we're friends on Facebook now, and we're meeting on Tuesday. All in an afternoon's worth of messaging. |
