| Post subject: | Craigs list questions |
Ok, so im heavily considering giving a free site a chance for dateing. What comes to mind is craigs list, but im open to other free sites that are safe and easy (free as well) to use. Some questions about it though... -Is it better to create your own profile, or respond to others (im assuming create your own)? -Is it advisable to have a pic available on your profile, or should you only be willing to "trade" pics? -Any bad experiences, common cons, other things to look out for? Just some side notes, i quickly browsed the casual encounters, platonic, and dateing sections of CL (all w4m). I thought the casual encounters was kind of a mix between creepy and funny. The platonic seemed to be the least used. The dateing part didnt seem horrible, much better then casual encounters. I have 2 goals for wanting to do this, one is i honestly wouldnt mind just making some additional friends. Not only would this increase the activity in my social life, but any females that start off as friends in this way could become more. Secondly would be to date, not exclusivly, as my long term goal is to have MLTR's. So what do you guys think. Any advice would be great. CL do's and dont's etc. Thanks. |

| Post subject: | Craigslist Tips |
Shoot where do I start Ka! You know I've been on Craigslist quiet a bit. As a matter of fact I'm talking to 3 girls from the site now from a post I created. Each one I moved from email, IM, to the phone, and working on dates. I post my stuff in the m4w relationship section, and not the casual encouters, which is more for No Strings Attached type of loving. Some guys will post pics, but mostly like pickup it has little to do with looks and hitting the attraction switches with your post. I say I'll swap pics, or myspace. All assuming I like them of course In your post be cocky, arrogant, and AMOG! Say things that hit the attraction switches and DHV yourself. Don't get too long winded just a few good paragraphs should do it. If it's too long they won't read it. Don't give too many personal details, same as you would do in the field. Keep your frame and proof read the post. One guy posted his add on here and he came off as arrogant and in the second sentence he DLV'd himself breaking frame saying something like, I am fairly secure financially. Do'h!!! After you create your post, and have it up. You will need to repost it after a few days because it'll go to the bottom of the heap. Also you can't post the same exact thing, they have filters for that because of spammers. So you'll have to reword the post a bit. Best days to post are like on Thursday's before the weekend or Friday morning. Hope the tips help and happy online sarging! |
