| Post subject: | How to get her off of facebook? |
An HB that I used to go to college with three years ago randomly poked me on Facebook the other day. A good sign, but kind of out of nowhere, so I gave it a day then poked back with a message "Thanks for the poke, I enjoyed it". Yesterday, though, she just poked back. No message. Not sure what to do as this is a virgin situation for me - it's odd for a girl to poke but not respond to a message, and also I have to treat the situation delicately as, like i said, we're not exactly strangers (although, as I say, it has been 3 years). Any advice on how to get her off of facebook (#-close, text convo, meet-up, etc.) Any help would be great. Thanks in advance! |

Well you have to get her talking obviously. If you catch her online send her a message via the text thing on FB. If not you could write her a simple message like "Don't you know its not polite to go around poking people. I thought you knew better than that. Yesterday, though, she just poked back. No message. Not sure what to do as this is a virgin situation for me - it's odd for a girl to poke but not respond to a message, and also I have to treat the situation delicately as, like i said, we're not exactly strangers (although, as I say, it has been 3 years). Until we get her talking and some dialogue going we can forget about gettting her number, meeting up, etc. We have to get her talking, gain rapport with her again, and then escalate things. |

Thank you very much mate. I sent a message along those lines and it got a reply. Quite a long reply as well (IOI?) Wondering though - this girl is never online, so I don't think I'm going to be able to catch her on fb chat. Does anyone had any tips for how to deal with these kinds of girls, as all advice I can find sort of relies on fb chat. Cheers. |

She looks like a girl with high attitude. She may be a live tester who enjoys testing others' emotions not in a bad way though. Well, first find out if she is really offline or kept herself hidden. In fb, you could do that in the following way:Wondering though - this girl is never online, so I don't think I'm going to be able to catch her on fb chat. Does anyone had any tips for how to deal with these kinds of girls, as all advice I can find sort of relies on fb chat. Cheers. Go and check the day and time of her previous message. On that particular day(if you are patient enough) and on that same time, msg her on fb. If she is offline, you won't see anything. If she is hidden, you can see a message in fb chat box as 'seen @ 7.40' something like this. Somehow try to start a long conversation with their. During your college time, she would have loved something or there may be some odd scene. Just start poking about those. People enjoy talking about the past if it is positive. |

Okay thanks for your reply, that makes sense. Sorry to keep replying here, but I still feel as if I'm missing something with this girl. I replied to her message, trying to get a conversation going but this time, yet again, she pokes back without responding. I think you're right in that she's probably a tester - so how do I pass the test? How do I deal with this now without seeming needy? Cheers! |

If still she is only poking, forget her man. There are millions outside for you!
