Hey guys, Got to admit I'm not normally into facebook game. I use it primarily to keep in contact with mates and that's it. However, added one girl a while back who has got some mutual friends, although I don't know the girl, never met her in my life. I noticed she had some photos of her at a party that was taking place at a golf course nearby where I live. So I opened with "hey there, bit of a random add but I saw your photo of the party the other week and I was just wondering where it was at? Swear I recognise it from somewhere but can't think where it is - really annoying me!" She replied with "haha yeah it was xx golf course Now here I didn't do particularly well, I said "ah that's where I thought it was! Not going crazy after all No response after that. Now, I'm not really all that fussed as I don't know the girl at all, but she is very hot! haha. Any ideas to restart a conversation? The mutual friend we've got is actually a good female friend of my brother's (as in an actual friend, nothing more!), if that starts anything up? Maybe just ask her how she knows the mutual friend? Or something better? Is it just me or is it a lot harder on the internet where you're totally reliant on words and not body language or aura? Far too easy to overthink/over analyze stuff when it's just words on the internet!! Thanks for any help guys! |

You didn't add any value to her life or entice her emotions. What were you expecting her to reply with after you said "ah that's where I thought it was! Not going crazy after all |

If you have been to the club or live near there, you would have DHV a bit being able to speak of the place. You: "Ahhh yes, I knew it! You are so and so's friend right?" HB: Yes, i know him! You: Good guy, I know him from blah blah, how is it that you know him? HB: I know him from school (or whatever) You: OMG, your not that girl who used to beat him up are you? HB: Hahaha...No!!!! You: Good, because I'm a lover not a fighter! But I'm a fighter too, so don't try me...LOL HB: LOL You: Good sense of humor +1. What was the ocasion for the party? (Notice how I changed the topic?) If she follows and explains with a long answer, you have sucessfully opened her and made her feel comfortable. Remember, you are a STRANGER to her; however, if you can get a reply you can guide the convo and start building comfort. Good luck! Peace... |
