I try to respond to all the messages I get but as I'm not permanently glued to my computer it sometimes takes me a few days.

First I'll get the sales pitch out of the way... keeping it brief: I'm kind, intelligent, down-to-earth, passionate and happiest when smiling. Any more back-patting than this and I feel my unrivalled modesty may be at threat.

I like to keep fit and I love the feeling after a good workout at the gym or a yoga class. I can also be found going to ceilidhs (traditional Scottish dancing) quite regularly. I seem to have loads of energy.

I like libraries, exhibitions (about almost anything), museums, hard to find places and pubs with a little SPAM.

I'm finishing my PhD in computational chemistry. If I tell you any more than that there's a risk of boring you. If you're interested though feel free to ask. Suffice to say I'm very ambitious and the sort of scientist who makes the other scientists jealous. I like what I do, and I'm really fortunate for that.

Giving presentations to a room full of scientists, and making them laugh. Doing science demos for school kids and scaring the teachers

Racing other people in the swimming pool without them knowing...

I'm not bad at cooking either.

Blond hair. I'm often told that I look German, which I take as a compliment.

Books (I don't read all that much):
Girl with the dragon tattoo, The Golden Bird, 1984. Surely you're joking Mr Feynman. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Currently reading "A Brave New World".

Movies (quite random really):
V for Vendetta, A Beautiful Mind, The Matrix, The Inside Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, Alien, Bourne, Sliding Doors, Fight Club, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Inception, and basically anything which makes me laugh.

Television (basically what my SPAM are watching):
I like Argumental, Have I Got News for You, and also Mock the Week. The Big Bang Theory (I can match the characters to my uni colleagues!), the I.T. crowd, Family Guy.

Music (eclectic):
Lots and lots of different types of music, from rock through to folk and also classical. As for actual band names, AC-DC, Gaelic Storm, Metallica, Brian McNeil, Nightwish, Manowar, Green Day, The Soviettes, The Fratellis and more...

There is no typical Friday night. I might be at a ceilidh, at a yoga lesson, at the cinema, at the pub with friends, or out for dinner with friends.

When I was a kid, Egon from the Ghostbusters was my rolemodel.

Oh yeah, and I practice Shibari.

You're an intelligent girl with a penchant for sipping coffee in cafes. You have to be interesting, more than just a pretty face and open-minded.

However you seem a little timid and you are hedging a lot of your better statements with disclaimers which shows you are doubting yourself and showing lack of confidence. Try to be more fun and less academic and German sounding if possible.
