Do you find better results when you choose "dating" vs "long term" or "friends"? I have heard if you say you're seekin friends, it show you're not needy, as opposed to saying you're looking for a long term relationship off the bat? I mean does it really matter? Plus if you're status is NOT what a particular girl is looking for, doesnt that make us a challenge? rather than easy? |

I can't speak for women but I can speak for me. I really do not care what a woman has as her status. If I'm impressed by her profile, I'm going to want to meet her. I can only assume women are the same. |

I don't have any empirical evidence to back this up, but I'd say "dating"'s best. "Long term" might look a little needy and "friends" seems like you don't have the balls to say what you're really after (after all, who's really on a dating site to find friends??). Whichever way, I don't think it's of massive importance. |

I agree with dukepau, it probably doesn't matter that much, although I would steer away from "long-term relationship" and go for "dating", since nearly all of the girls on there, regardless of what they're looking for, will be open to dating. It is a dating site after all... |
